Going for the first time in April. I just found out my wife is pregnant. Is it worth still going or should I cancel?

Thanks

Well, not sure how to answer. Last trip we went was in 2000. My wife was pregnant and we had my two younger brothers with us. They were like 7 and 9 at the time.

My wife was sick as a dog. She started feeling sick a few days before we left but by then it was too late to turn back. If she was not sick she would have had a great time. She would just have to avoid a handful of attractions.

So I guess the way to answer is this. If she is having any sort of sickness throughout her pregnancy before you leave I would cancel. If she is not sick by then, most likely she won't be and she can have a great time.

The good thing about Disney is that they have plenty of things to do for anyone unable to hit the thrill rides. As long as she's feeling up to it, I don't see any reason to stay home. :)

She should be in her second trimester by April. I can't speak for everyone, but that's when my morning sickness stopped, and I actually started feeling great! (If she's due in September, she's pretty much on the same timeline as my first pregnancy, when I went to WDW in April) She won't be unwieldy yet; I wasn't even showing very much. She's probably going to be wearing maternity clothes for the first time, so she won't be sick of them yet. She might get tired more easily, although I didn't notice it too much. The food choices are much better than they were back in 1983; you couldn't buy bottled water or much in the way of "healthy" food.

My suggestion would be, barring any complications, to go and enjoy your last fling as a childless couple.

I went pregnant in April and had a great time! I had just started my 8th month. Once in awhile I got in the big Disney stroller when the temp reached 95. We had our two kids with us 4 and 6 so we weren't planning a lot of big rides anyway.

Congratulations!
