SOFT OPENING WATCH - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coaster

People like you are the reason why Disney is lagging behind Universal right now in terms of expansions and innovation. Stop trying to justify their poor choices. They did wrong by saying spring, even the chairmen of Walt Disney parks and resorts kind of acknowledged it. People planned around the fact that they said opened spring. Anyone would think that if they said spring, which starts march 20, by mid April it would be open. Not the last 3 weeks of spring. For that they should have said "open summer".
I could careless how great universal is doing as far as being ahead of Disney. I will always love Disney for being Disney I will also love universal for who they are. Two different brands. Both having to step up their games. Universal has played a better game of late. But I'm sure Disney will do a great job with Star Wars. Either way it's a win-win for all fans, competition is good

Planning around a ride opening is pretty foolish. Especially when there wasn't an opening date. Assuming that opening spring means the first day of spring or by mid April was your assumption. You know what they say about assumptions...

May 28th is the opening date and is still spring with a month to spare. No one acknowledged anything. It was always advertised as Spring 2014 to the public. There were no poor choices. A soft opening could still be possible before then but softs are tests and not scheduled so it is luck of the draw.

In MK, just passed by and the CM posted at the entrance said MK CMs only. I think I overheard them saying to another park CM to check your email for a possible opening for other park CMs on Monday.

You are very THICK!!! It is still Spring. The ride will open in SPRING. They will meet what they said.

It isn't their fault someone planned a vacation around a date that wasn't announced, but they thought was going to be the opening date. They assumed and they were wrong. Not Disney's fault.

If "People like you" means someone with a level head and not over-reacting to something that hasn't missed a deadline, then I guess I am the sole reason that Disney is lagging behind.

EVERYBODY BLAME ME...IT'S MY FAULT!!!!!

honestly if they say spring I would not plan a trip till end of june... they said spring and they made it ...end of story (granted 3 years later but they did make it)
people have been posting angry comments since feb why the ride isn't open.).. if your (your is in anyone) trip was planned around this ride why take any chances if you (you as in anyone) can only afford Disney every 2 or 3 years then why take the risk of missing the ride book fall of 2104...just my thoughts

I agree about not understanding the rage that it wasn't open in "Spring". I mean, as others have pointed out, June 21st starts summer. April and May to me are the solid spring months (despite the awful heat already here in Florida and it seems elsewhere too!). January and February I've always thought were "winter months" and March, that could go either way, LOL.

I understand it's frustrating to base a trip around that, and then it not be open, and a lot of people are restricted to only being able to go at certain times of the year, but for once, Disney really hasn't done anything wrong. They said Spring and they are delivering on that. Maybe because it was rumored to be open earlier (though I can't recall that) but still ... don't plan a trip around rumors.

And even Universal isn't rushing to reveal when their new ride is opening, either. I for one think it's smart to not promise something months in advance when things can and do happen that could delay that. Then they'd really have a problem.

It has come back to bite Disney before!
