The "press event" coincides with their annual Travel Agent convention-type-thingy that Disney holds every year.
So its not really a "press event".... theyre just along for the ride.
No travel agent convention that I'm aware of.

It's only for the special agents. No travel agent convention that I'm aware of.
We have a movie forum? I learn something new every day. I spend too much time in the other sections alreadyExactly. I am rooting for success even though I wanted FLE 1.0.
Irony.
Oh, and I added an interesting thread to the "movie" forum concerning Star Wars VII.
Because.

Yes, I am aware, that's why I'm there. But it's not our yearly conference. It's only for the special agents.

Anyone know if the planters were removed overnight or during the operating day?Not necessarily. Could just mean that someone decided what was behind the planters at this point was less ugly than the planters.
I'm the Owner of an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner or Earmarked agency, like Pam from Kingdom Konsultant. I'm invited to this event.I'm sorry… This is going come off rude but who the hell are you?
Actually, quite obviously they are closer to opening today than yesterday.Planters going away was totally unrelated to the progress of any work going on. Doesn't mean they're any closer or farther from opening than yesterday.

People didn't ride this thing...actors did.
Not necessarily. Look at California Adventure - when the park disappointed on opening, they spent the better part of a decade making additions in an effort to get it up to par. When little piecemeal developments didn't seem to be cutting it, they broke out the big guns and went for the $1Billion overhaul, bringing in Cars Land and Buena Vista Street. Those were huge hits, and don't seem to have lit any fires to pursue further development in the parks. Granted, DCA was in a much different position than the Magic Kingdom (not to mention the difference of situation between the DL and WDW resorts). That would be for it to open. The people who want it to fail clearly don't think of the long term consequences of this attraction failing. If this is a huge hit, TDO will be more onboard with building new attractions. If this is a failure, Id wager you'd probably see more screens, themed bathrooms, DVC's, and restaurants.
Have you seen any trains cycling? As of this very moment a bunch of cast members in uniform are walking the track behind what seems to be an instructor or trainer.
No trains today, couple of workers on the tracks earlier.Have you seen any trains cycling?
