Because Soarin' Around the World legit sucks. Between this news and the opening date of Luminous, I'm finally excited to be back at Epcot again next spring. Why? The World theme fits EPCOT better.
Thank the Phoenicians…It turns out there are copies of the film in the libraries of the Middle East. Call it the first backup system.
No, you have 3 “theaters”…California goes in 1 and around the world goes in the other 2…after about one month, they’ll realize their mistake and switch it…They should probably do what they do with the theater in France. First half of the day its World and later on its California. That way guests will come in during both times depending on which show they prefer.
Yeah, it does…why do you want to see a film about California when you live in California…Yeah, California doesn't really make sense at EPCOT.
That said, I think this is fine as a temporary measure if they're going to use this time to fix the world film (or create a new, better one).

Still like the idea of different theaters with different film. Why not permanently have both California and World available?
Why? Don’t you remember when you were a kid and looked at travel logs or view masters of places you’ve never been to? Maybe the MULTITUDE of international guests in Orlando will NEVER have the opportunity to travel to California…Why do you want to see a film about California in a park that has absolutely nothing to do with California in any way?
It doesn't make sense at EPCOT. The California version is definitely better, and I'm not complaining about it going in for now, but they need an equally good (or better) version of a world film for EPCOT instead of just giving up and using the California one permanently.

I don’t wanna see the state I live in…it just makes more sense. IMHO
So better to have a world film that sucked than a vastly superior film based in CA. Got it.This is basically arguing my point for me -- this is why it makes more sense to have a world film at EPCOT rather than simply one state in the US.
We can agree to disagree…the Cali film is better, the scents are even better. Let’s compromise…again, put the Cali in one and the world in the other 2…in 1 month the wait times for Cali will be such that they’ll reverse it. I’m tired of looking at the Eiffel Tower bent when I haven’t even made it to the F&W festival yet…This is basically arguing my point for me -- this is why it makes more sense to have a world film at EPCOT rather than simply one state in the US.
I agree with the concept but wondering how they could manage the queue. Would it be random by the time you get it the separation point, could you request the version you want? And if you could, would 1.0 be full while 2.0 gets a trickle? We can agree to disagree…the Cali film is better, the scents are even better. I totally agree! Here’s hoping for ‘Soarin’ Over Xandar’ as the eventual replacement. Why do you want to see a film about California in a park that has absolutely nothing to do with California in any way?
