No MK park, excuse me, ANY DIsney park anywhere are open as long as DL is. TDL usually closes at 10 p.m. in the high season. SDL and HKDL around 9 p.m. the latest. HKDL closes at 8 p.m. most of the year. And none of these have extra morning hours. TDL opens at 8, thats the earliest for everyone. And DL is the only park that opens to midnight in high season every freaking night.

Its crazy to think it use to close at 1 a.m. (well MS still stays open until then). But yes, its pretty crazy if you are a hotel guest you can be in that park as early as 7 a.m. and don't leave it until 1 a.m. most nights in the summer.
No other Disney Park has anywhere close to the number of attractions, either. We’re so spoiled here in SoCal having the greatest theme park in the world (minus Galaxy’s Edge) in our own backyard.

16 hours is plenty, you should consider yourself lucky. Rarely is MK open 16 hours to all guests.
Those of us who grew up staying at DL from 7:30 AM to 1:00 AM during the summer (2:00 AM counting Main Street!) can’t forget how awesome that was. And keep in mind, back then they kept ALL the rides running until 1:00 AM (except canoes and TS Island)! It was paradise! It was AFFORDABLE, GENEROUS, more-than-your money’s-worth, no-strings-attached paradise! Is it any wonder so many of us fell in love with the place?

There is a special kind of Magic that happens in the late evenings at Disneyland Park.
When the crowds thin out, and the toddlers go back to their hotel rooms / homes....and the Park is bathed in its ambiant evening lighting schemes.
It's the best time in many ways.

I love being able to ride over and over on certain Attractions because the CMs let you since no other Guests, or darn few, are waiting at the loading gates.
It's always fun to get 'the last ride' of the night before the Park closes on your favorite Attraction.
Afterwards, you get to enjoy walking through a literally empty Park to get to Main Street USA.
Then, just when you might begin to think your evening at Disneyland is over....it's NOT!

Now, you get to spend a late evening hanging out on Main Street USA casually enjoying the shops, Cinema cartoons, snacks, benches, ambiant lighting, fantastic Castle views ( with no crazy crowds fighting for photos ), and more benches!
Being on Main Street at 1am on a beautiful night with only 50 or so other people around and two dozen CMs is a great way to end a great day in the Park.

I just don’t see it happening again, after that last Fantasmic the crowds disappear. I always watch that show and then jump immediately on Pirates, when I get off every ride but Space and Peter Pan are walk ons and I can hit an additional 3-4 rides in that last hour before close. No way it’s economically feasible to stay open an additional hour.

And yet, they somehow did it for years. At a way lower price of entry.

Okay it was probably previously discussed but any odds that it will return to EPCOT briefly? I know it's substantially less likely but is there a fair possibility?

I’m not sure about the possibility, but I don’t see why it would return to EPCOT, as it doesn’t make sense there and World makes a better fit.

It’s possible though.

That's the difference between Disney then and Disney now. Disney used to care about giving guests the best experience possible even if it wasn't short-term 100% financially efficient, because they knew it was worth it in the long run by creating an experience so great they'd earn customer loyalty for life. Today... **Whoopie Cushion Sound**

Geez... Disney really is desperate to take the Galaxy's Edge off of the crowds.

When are they bringing Disney's Electrical Parade and the original version of World of Color back? Gotta cash in on that nostalgia factor.

Maybe we could get Captain EO, MV3D, Original Star tours, etc, back as these limited arrangements?

Well all the "disney is a business" folks would tell you that's not possible anymore or that disney would be failing its shareholders etc

Because 1996 was a different universe or something.... :)
