I believe this is my first time playing the game on WDWMagic. :)

1. My name is Snoopy, a username I've been using on various Disney fansites since joining the MouseInfo boards back in January of 2004. Picked because I'm a big Peanuts fan and wanted to pick something a bit more original than my moniker on RollerCoaster Tycoon fansites (which was literally just RCT Fan, lol).

2. I haven't been to very many non-Disney parks yet, so I'm going to be pretty obscure and say the Rowdy Roosters spinner at Canobie Lake in New Hampshire. It holds a special place in my heart and whenever I'm lucky enough to go I make sure not to miss it.

3. I'm going to be a little arrogant here and say the Season 10 final project. I just think it's my strongest work to date and I particularly loved what MEW and Monkey came up with for it.

I'll join!

1. My name is MonorailRed because it's the coolest of all the monorails.

2. My favorite Non-Disney attraction had to be the old Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle attraction in Kings Island. It was just a giant parody of the Haunted Mansion.... Pretty funny.

3. My favorite project is Xanadu from TSI 2.

I've been meaning to go out to Lake Compounce, simply to check out Boulder Dash, but if I'm going to drive more than an hour I'd rather just head out to Six Flags New England because I have a season pass there.
Boulder Dash is genuinely my favorite wooden coaster. It's such a great park which has a ton of personality. You should totally try to make it out, especially with a $35 ticket price ;)

I am submitting myself for the competition:

Name:

Hello, my name is Trevor. I used to post on these forums a long time ago, and now I have decided to post on them again. I wish I had picked a more exceptional name for myself when I joined the forum, but I didn't, and here we are.

My Favorite Non-Disney Attractions:
The E.T. Adventure at Universal Studios Orlando is a honest-to-God great Disney-style attraction, stuck in a sub-par competitor's studio park. E.T. (and the second-best ride at UO, Men in Black) does the thing that themed park attractions do best: give people an experience they've never had before, using real, tactile environments. On E.T., I can fly. Can you fly, Optimus Prime*?

I want to take a moment to directly address Universal Parks and Resorts; they check these forums probably every day I think, to keep current with guest interests:
An official statement from TrevorA:

Universal P&R, please do not demolish the E.T. Adventure. It is the closest you ever came to constructing a masterpiece of themed design. For your new Nintendo attractions, please instead remove the Transformers ride: it is basically just a movie of the Transformers and Netflix already has a movie of the Transformers that I can watch at home. Also the robots are a little racist. Universal, please - Thomas Williams, please - do not destroy my dear friend E.T. I thank you in advance for your prompt reply.

My favorite something-something:
I forgot what the last question is supposed to be, so I will reiterate my last point:
Another official statement:

Thomas Williams - Tom - don't do me dirty like this. Don't kill E.T.

---TrevorA

*I'm sure he can fly. Don't @ me.

I'm in!

A) Poe Dameron is my favorite character from Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

B) Twisted Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

C) My favorite was the River Country and Fort Wilderness refurbishment from The Creator Games because that was the first time I took a big assignment in an imagineering project.

Hi I'm doing this. First time.

Name
I use this on the internet quite frequently. I've been called Nate dog by a number of people. (Surprisingly most don't know who Nate Dogg is...) I love anagrams, and this one sounded cool!

Favourite non-Disney attraction
Great bear at Hershey park, PA. first park I've ever been to, and really tested myself on that coaster. After I went on it the first time, I knew I had to have more of the thrill. Disney's craft for coasters totally upended my idea of a ride, and now I find them even more fun and creatively interesting.

Favourite couch imagineering...
I'll be honest here: I'm new to this, haven't a clue where to start ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ . Although, I love being creative, and magic kingdom is like a second home to me after working there for three years. I love to dream and look at old photos of the parks and think of what others are thinking. So this whole couch imagineering thing sounds right up my ally!

Welcome to the imagineer forum! Hershey Park is awesome! Great Bear and Sky Rush are my favorites.

We are now at eighteen people! Thanks so much for the overwhelming response, were truly humbled at how fast we've assembled the cast. This is definitely the largest and fastest casting turn out in the game's history by a pretty considerable margin. With that in mind, it's my honor to introduce the official cast of So, You Want to be an Imagineer Season 14: Greatest Hits

@MANEATINGWREATH and I have decided to move the game up once again just slightly from February 9th to February 4th, which is next Saturday. In the meantime, we'd like to reintroduce a little tradition back from the VF days which will serve as a warm-up for the main game. Through the week leading up to the starting date, we will have three 48 hour "Festival of Imagination" challenges which will showcase three more classic SYWTBAI projects that didn't make the cut onto the main season's project roster.

These projects are completely optional, but come with an incentive. Each submitted project will be scored by MEW and I on a grading scale out of 40 which is how the grading will traditionally go with the projects.

Creativity: /10
Realism: /10
Detail: /10
Presentation: /10
Total: /40

When working in teams once the game starts, an extra "Group Work" category will be added to give the grading scale a round 50 possible points per round.

Feel free to participate in as many of these as you want, but each time you participate gets you closer to the prizes...That's right, actual, digital prizes that will help you in the game. Were giving away three Diamond PoMVP's to the people who score first, second, and third place in the Festival of Imagination respectively. The fourth place finisher will recieve the first key to Walt's Vault...a topsy turvey Pandora's Box style twist where opening the vault can result in your dreams coming true...or your worst nightmare...Open with caution!

Diamond PoMVP can play their PoMVP (Power of MVP) on themselves or a person on their team of their choosing one time from round one until the round before semi-finals. Play the Diamond PoMVP gives the player an automatic free pass to the next round without the stress of elimination. It's definitely a great tool to have at your disposal going into what looks to be a very promising and competitive season!

With that in mind, welcome to your first Festival of Imagination project...

New Critters in the Country

This project dates back to the semi-finals of season six...the first season of the game to feature the classic team-based gameplay each contestant will experience this season. The goal of this project is to create a replacement for The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in Disneyland's Critter Country.

This replacement must have a higher capacity and should be a bigger draw for all ages than Pooh which has been neglected to the stigma of "kiddie ride" since it opened. One last twist...You may NOT use an IP when designing this ride. Instead, you must come up with original characters to populate this Critter Country expansion!

Good luck players. This project is due Monday, January 30th at 11:59 PM Eastern. Any questions feel free to ask.

Anyone else who wants to sign up, again please feel free to and we'll put you on the alternates list in the event of drop-outs or inactive people over the course of the first three projects. Can't guarantee anyone else a spot but we can certainly save one for you if something comes up :)

Also feel free to participate in the Festival of Imagination projects even if you can't sign up for the main game. The more the merrier! :D

For the new players not only to the forum but to this game too -- in Season 13 there was talks of creating a detailed gameplay terminology guideline. I know you described the terms here, but I remember there being confusion in several rounds on Diamond PoMVP vs PoMVP vs Walt's Vault, when they are used, how they are used, and so on.

That might be very helpful to have from the start of Season 14!

Absolutely. We'll get right on that!
