So Sad

I'm writing this as I pack my bags for our flight home. Thanks for all the support regarding my wheelchair apprehension. I didn't ever rent one. Too stubborn I guess. I didn't really hurt in my hip, I stopped constantly and watched shows and didn't back track. i'm so sad now. I'm now facing my surgery and this trip kept me from a constant state of panic and made me forget I had to have surgery. Is it always this sad when you leave? Even if you're 29?
Thanks!

I am glad that you were able to forget about your surgery for awhile and have a good time.A few years ago I hurt my back real bad and walking the parks for extended periods was rough but like you I would stop and take in the sights and try not to let it bother me(btw I was 29 then too as it was 2004)

Good luck on your surgery so you can get back to the World soon!

I totally feel your pain!! I just got back this Tuesday and it is always sad. I unfortunately got sick the last three days of my trip!! I got pneumonia and spent the last three days of what was a wonderful trip holed up in my hotel room! Now since I've been home, I wasn't even really supposed to fly) I've been stuck in the house trying to get better. It just makes everything more depressing! Try to stay in good spirits, good luck with your surgery, and may God bless!!!!:)
I'm only 32 and yes it's always sad!!

Went to Disney last August and hobbled the whole time on both feet. I had surgery on both of my feet in October. It was hard to keep up with everyone at times but it did not slow me down and I wouldn't have had it any other way. My surgeries were a success and I am going back in August again!! Keep your chin up!!:)

Even without the surgery to face, leaving is always sad. I generally cry a lot our last full day, cry myself to sleep our last night, etc. And I'm 33. :D

Thanks to everyone. As you can tell I didn't use my wheelchair although I was advised by the MD. I refused because after this surgery I won't have a choice but to use one in December for our next trip. This trip was awesome. I've cried ever since I got back about 3 hours now. I just am dreading my surgery, but at least I took about 1000 pics and can look back to them for support and reminding me that I can get through everything. I love that I have this forum to share the love I have for Disney with others as well. Thanks again everyone.

DH and I were sad when we left from WDW in December, and we're still sad!!! We wish we could just go back, but it won't be until another 2-3 years until we go back. Next year we plan on going to DLR/DCA.

We got back last Sunday after a 7 day trip and it is depressing but as soon as I got home I changed my countdown clock for the October trip! You plan and no matter how many days you are there it seems to go so fast! Good luck with you surgery. Do whatever the doctors tell you to do and you will be all over the parks in December!:)

I am gald you could enjoy your trip despite you pain. I hope all goes well with your surgury and you recover quickely.
I get tearly every time we leave to go home and more than once I have had tears streaming down my face on the Monrail. I am sure people think I am crazy, 28 year old married Mom of two crying on a Monrail for no reason! Oh well, there is always next year!
Get better soon!

I extend out a hug to you, my friend. Keep us posted on how you feel. Feel free to PM when you are well enough.

But that is what Disney is for. Time for forgetting about reality and living magic.

Thanks for all the hugs and support. I go back to work tomorrow for 4 weeks then my surgery. I can't wait to talk to everyone while I'm out for 3 months. I'll let you know how my surgery went. Hopefully I will have my blog up and going and anyone is welcomed to view it after I get it up. I can't wait to go in December and enjoy all the Christmas magic!!! Thanks again. Everyone has made me feel incredible.

Yes, Myself, 14 were absolutely gutted and very sad and my Mother who is 39, was worse than me but just think, the quicker it happens and is done with, the quicker you can go to WDW again. :)
And hope you will get better.

Yep I cry! I am 27 and I cry when we arrive because I am so excited and I cry when we leave because we have to go home...back to reality where not everyone cares how you are doing and nobody tells me to have a magical day. I have a 6 yr old DD and a 15 month old DS. I cry when I see them get so excited about Disney. So i am hoping that this little post of mine makes you feel better. There is always me who will cry about!

Good luck with your surgery. I went to WDW once 2 weeks after surgery and it was the best distraction ever!
