Well where should I start,

Well it all started a year ago when we decided to plan a disney trip. We did and my Aunt, Uncle, and two kids were going with us. Then just last week they all dropped off the trip, we were going to have a magical gathering and now we are not :( but o'well. We made reservations at the PC, for two rooms, and now they want us to take their daughter and PC cant accomedate (SP?) 5 people in a room, unless we get a second room, Ok here come the 1,000 dollar question,

Can I swtich switch hotels, with a 800 ballance to the Port Orleans Riverside?

And now im anxious to know morea bout the Port Orleans Riverside, like does it have a Boat Launch to Down Town Disney, it says it on the Offical WDW site but in the Birnimbaums Book it doesnt say anything about it.

I leave in 1 month and 3 days @ 11 am so any help would be much appreciated!

I know of at least two frozen coke stands, One in the Magic Kingdom in Tommorowland under the Astro Orbiter and one on MGM Studios right across from Hollywood & Vine towards the left ( Not in the lake!!) I love frozen cokes etc!! The frozen lemonade is more like an Italian ice thing to me as well!! Belle

Hey Sum,

We just got back on Sunday from our visit to Disney World. We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside and really liked it. Last summer we stayed at Carribbean Beach and I preferred POR. We stayed in a room in Alligator Bayou building 36. The trundle bed is small. I laid down on it to check it out and it really wasn't comfortable for an adult. My 5 year old and 8 year old however, enjoyed sleeping on it - fought about whose turn it was. The resort is great and the pools are nice. The main pool on Ol' Man Island is really nice but the line for the slide was always pretty long. We also swam in the quiet pool outside our building and also took a trip down to check out the pool at the French Quarter.

My daughter and I took the boat to Downtown Disney - it was really nice. We took the bus back and it actually took us longer than the boat since we stopped at Disney West side then Typhoon Lagoon before returning to POR.

Have a great trip - We sure did!

DisneyQuest is 5 floors of full on video arcade on steriods! In additon to the most popular and some classic video games, there are unique interactive games. Once you pay to get it, no additional $ is required, except for food (they have a Cheesecake Factory Express - :slurp: ).
There is a POTC game, where you shoot cannons in either single shot or rapid fire. There's a raft game where you sit in a rubber raft and use paddles (oars) with wheels on them to navigate while watching your progress on a big screen (you can go over water falls and water will spray on you). There's a huge pin ball game, where you stand on a "bumper" and watch a huge screen. When the ball comes near you, you rock your bumper to hit it. About 20 can play together on that. There's a roller coaster simulator - you design your coaster on a PC, then go into the simulator to ride your design (our design had a jump in it - what was I thinking? :hammer: ). But my favorite is the Buzz Lightyear Bumper Cars/Astro Shooter (I can't remember the name). Two people per car: one drives, the other is the gunner. The driver runs over balls (volley ball size) and the ball comes up into the car thru the floor. The gunner then loads the ball into the gun, closes the door, and fires at the other cars. My husband and I creamed our 2 boys :drevil: It was the most fun ever! :sohappy:
There's also a virtual reality Aladdin Magic Carpet ride, that our kids liked, but made me and my husband sick. And downstairs is a huge maze with a clear floor for remote controlled cars. This also takes 2 people, or is better/easier with two people. You walk on top of the clear floor and look down to see your car. One person usually guides the car and the other to direct the "driver."
I'm sure there's more that I don't remember or has been added, but these were the high-lights for me. I hope you get to go.

Ok the Questions train has pulled into the station.

Can you take a bus to the TTC becuase were traveling wwith the Noob and whats your first trip without riding the monorail, and where not rent a car, were taking Dis Trans?

Also for all of you who stayed @ PO:R, did you find yourself waiting a long to time to ride the buses, on debs site it said they waited 40 mins for a bus in the morning?

Hi Sum, no there isnt a bus directly to the TTC from your Hotel, but you can take the bus to the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT and take the Monorail from there. If you arent in a hurry ask to sit up front with the driver. A maximum of 4 people are allowed in the car with the driver. Make sure to bring a video camera as either monorail is a nice ride.
As far as waiting for a bus it really depends. Did you just miss the bus to the park? Is it early in the mroning? Is there a HUGE line for the park you are waiting for? All of these things play into your wait time. The busses are supposed to come once per park every 20 minutes or so during the day. They will be a bit more frequent at closing of the parks and probably in the morning as well.

There was a thread a while back where they trialed a singles queue for Splash, but it only lasted a couple of weeks.

One more, on maelstrom can you skip the movie at the end?
Some people choose to leg it through full tilt to get out before the doors on the other side of the theatre close. Shame, because it's a nice and short little flick.

Have a wonderful time!!!! Do everything, even stuff you may not think that would interest you. Disney is good at surprising you with things like that. I actually went last weekend specifically for a gathering of fans of the band Off Kilter!!! They are outstanding but it took me years to find them!! Now that I have it is all over!!! I go see them again and again and again!!!! Im sure you get the idea!!!! Have a safe and fun trip and we want a trip report when you get back!!!! Belle
