So, how often do resorts change their comforters?

Snap! It's certainly more of a comfort thing than a hygiene thing! I'm away from home for 3 weeks so I need my stuff! If only I could stuff my dog into my case

Now you can!!!

We actually take our own pillows, blankets, sheets too... One bout of the stomach flu for 5 days at Disney will do that to ya...
We have a 6 year old who still falls out of the bed, and those beds are HIGH, so we use their sheets and blankets as floor cushions around the bed he sleeps on...

Well at the Polynesian they change sheets after each guest and every 4 days if the guest is there that long. The blankets and bed spreads get changed if the housekeeper finds stains and they do get swapped out for new ones every so often. I just don’t know how often that is. If the house keeper feels the room needs a “deep cleaning” everything gets changed out down to the mattress protector.

 I knew about the top comforters but they don't change the blankets between guests?:eek::eek:

Yeah, I assumed the blankets got changed too! Ewwwwww!

I always fold back the comforter so it doesn't really bother me that it's not changed every time (although it would be great if they did).

I like what the Holiday Inns are doing now (at least here in NL they are). There's no comforter anymore, just a decorative sash on the end of the bed (I don't know how else to describe it). The sheets and blankets are washed and changed for every new guest.

On our last stay at the Contemporary 2 months ago, my sister spilled tobasco sauce on the comforter of one of the beds and instead of giving us a new one the mousekeeper just took the duvet cover off and left the inner lining thing...It was gross, that thing went on the floor. There was no way anybody was gonna sleep with that :hurl:

I know this is my first post, but take it for what it is worth. I am a hotel manager and I can tell you for a fact that most hotels do not change the comforters between guests, but Disney maybe different. Only time they are changed is if they are clearly dirty or the guest in the room says the bed is dirty. This is why hotels are moving to the duvet's instead of comforters. I personally prefer the duvet, but that is just one person's opinion.

Welcome to the boards  Duvet's would be better IMO. Does anyone know how regulary the spare blanket in the wardrobe would be cleaned ?, as I have often used them, I'm guessing not often :dazzle:

I'm firmly in the camp of not treating your immune system like a delicate flower.....

If it passes a quick physical inspection, and doesn't feel damp or hard or anything, then I'm not bothered.

So true. You can feed it all the vitamins you want but if you don't let it have regular sparing matches it will get its butt kicked.

Chalk up another careful-but-not-neurotic person over here - remember all of those native peoples that got wiped out when foreigners discovered the Americas?
