So, some of you may remember that I posted how Disney gave me 2 free rooms for one night as compensation for all the c*ap we put up with with the Pop Warner nightmares.......so, I get the letter today in the mail and it states "here is confirmation for your two rooms yadda yadda....but it CAN NOT be combined w/ any other offer like free Diney Dining..."

HUH? You gave me this as compensation for the c*ap we put up with but I cant combine it with another offer....hmm OK....thank you....I think.

Im cracking up laughing... :ROFLOL:

I just don't get why everyone in this country thinks they should get something for nothing? I deal with annoying people all the time in WDW but I don't demend free stuff. Disney should't have to give you a free night for rude guests.

I could see that as pretty funny - what? Are you going to call them and ask for a discount on FREE?

"Umm.... yes, excuse me. I'd like to book my vacation. Could you give me a discount on those two free nights?" :)

You're an idiot. Disney absolutely should have compensated her for what happened. They created the atmosphere by not adequately monitoring the bad behavior of a group and by allowing it to affect the vacations of hundreds of other guests. It is not as if they aren't aware of the poor behavior of these groups (generally speaking). It should not be incumbent on me, you or any other individual guest to make inquiries about what rowdy guests will be visiting so you can pick alternate dates. Disney should have policies in place to protect all guests and do its best to make sure that guests aren't being harassed. If that means banning a group from visiting, so be it. That slot can be filled with another group...maybe one that is more well behaved.

If I go to the movies and someone talks on their phone the whole time, should I just be expected to sit there and have to put up with it should management refuse to deal with it? Yes, I can leave. But I should be able to get my money back. My experience was ruined, not only by the rude person on the phone, but by management for not dealing with it. A smart manager would ask them to leave, and in addition give me a free movie pass, ensuring I return and spend more money.

Ahh. Some of you would absolutely FAIL in the business world... if your succeeding now it puzzles me? :brick: from a business aspect of course Disney should give out two free nights, which in turn equal more money from them in the long run, to keep a loyal customer? :brick:Business 101...... :veryconfu
Great strategy by Disney because now they will get a guest to come back and spend even more money. I am also sure the two free nights probably does not save as much as most of there deals. Even if the OP stayed for one night they will still purchase other stuff and be coming back to the business world.

Well done Disney for again flexing your arm as one of the most knowledgable companies.

And why people in this country think they deserve that? Its not that they deserve it. More that they are EDUCATED and understand how large companies work and what they rely on? please dont attack the OP anymore.

Congrats on ur two nights. it is kind of silly they dont give it with the other discounts , but thats another one of there strategies and I am sure it works well for them.

I agree. I too am waiting to hear from Disney regarding the issues we had during our stay, which included their failure to prevent non paying guests from being in the MK during MVMCP. Do I expect compensation, no. I'm just glad that they responded and actually glossed over my email.

Will I accept compensation, hell yes. I spent $200 or so for our family to enjoy a hard ticket event and we still had to compete with non paying guests for space for shows and on rides. I feel no guilt in taking compensation from Disney.

If you "deal" with rude guests at WDW then congratulations, but I'd rather have a pair and quit letting people run over me, literally. The problem is that people sometimes mutter and complain to nobody in general, and that's why you end up with so many rude guests.

I too say congrats on getting what you deserve for stepping up and complaining about the problems. And all you did anyway was point out an unexpected disclaimer that came with the freebie...I see it as fair warning and a good point to make on the boards...good reminder to us all to read the fine print whenever you get something free, there's usual a string of 5 attached.

In fact, the repeated complaints I've read about the Pop Warner weekend has shot down any chance our youth football program will participate...granted we aren't eligible since we refuse to pay the kings ransom they want to be a part of their "sanctioning body"...won't go completley there, but since we don't reside "inner city" or for that matter IN a city, etc. etc. etc.

But lets say you're in a grocery store, on line, and some woman is yelling at another and their being rude and aruguing loudly yada yada yada, does the clerk say "I'm sorry about those two ma'am, take those groceries for free"

I understand that bad groups of vacationers are disruptive to vacationers, but you can't let that affect your entire vacation, because are you going to run into them everywhere you go?

Though, if they were around you most of the time, and the employees or "cast members" didn't do anything, than congrats on the two nights=]
I'm just saying that, no matter where you go, there will be disruptive/annoying groups of vacationers, and you can't let them bring you down (unless they're like following you than you have a real issue!!!)
