It spans multiple generations. HP will never have that kind of attraction.
While the meet and greets will not always appeal to my kids, there will always be new things to look for and at to keep me going back to FL and MK for a long time.

You're Way off the mark here. harry Potter started being published in 1997, so its been around over a decade so far. The books have been huge sellers, the films are huge. A thing like Potter is timeless, just like princesses. And you'd be supprised just how many adults DO read the Harry Potter books, its a significant proportion.

Hmm, I wonder what the percentage of adults breaks down to in the Star Wars vs Potter demographics.

Again, you only see things as they relate to your viewpoint. Because there is no way Potter is bigger than Star Wars overall. No conceivable way.

It's younger: my daughter read them when she was 9, and most of the kids at her school read them when they were 8.

It's also older: many of these kids parents read HP along with their kids.

HP is huge. What we don't know is how many HP fans will care about going to an HP-themed area of an Orlando theme park.

It's widely beleived that Epcot and DAK will get expansions when their attendance starts to lower.... what's coming nearby that may do that? Harry Potter.

Someone that agrees! I can't see how anyone thinks HP is bigger than Star Wars overall. In 2009, sure HP wins. In the long run however... That was the point I was trying to make. I knew I couldn't win with my argument anyways. Some people are just focused on praising HP i guess.

I'll edit my post. New franchise. It's not as big as Star Wars, but it's bigger than anything since.
