I was supposed to take my daughter to Rhode Island today to check out a college campus. got up this morning, heard on the news that we were expecting 8 inches of snow, that the Van Wyck, Bruckner and West Side Highway were all closed due to accidents...guess we're not driving up to rhode Island today.

but click on my countdown ticker...

this time next week I will be in WDW.

The roads up this way are terrible, with multiple accidents on each. We have about 8 inches or so right now, with more to come.
Stay home & stay safe and plan another weekend trip.

We only got 3 inches in south Jersey but I am thrilled because it was enough to cancel school! (I'm a teacher and I love snow days as much as the kids!) :sohappy:

We've had a huge winter hear...the most snow this state has seen in 80 years. We've already had 3 storms with more than 12 inches. Monday night they're calling for another 5 or 6. The snowbanks in the city are so high that intersections are becoming dangerous, because you can't see around corners because the plows create piles of snow 6-7 foot high.

For the last couple months, I've been putting out a little extra horse feed for a doe with a broken leg. Since we've had the ground covered with snow for the last couple weeks, I've put out a couple buckets full, and tonight I counted 17 deer eating at once just beofre dark, and there have been a few more stragglers coming in all evening.

You always want what you don't have. I can definitely see how living with snow all the time is a pain, but if I could go skiing every day, that would more than make up for it.

Come check out LSU, there's no snow at all!

Yeah, I'm so looking forward to the next storm coming tomorrow with 6-9 inches predicted. It's been such a nice, sunny weekend with temps in the 30's. Actually got to wash the cars! Of course, it's like driving offroad with the streets melting down to pavement. Where there's not pot holes, there's melting ice pot holes. I think the snow banks might be gone by June!

One month to go until I'm back inn the sun!

5-8 inches here starting tomorrow night. I hope my mom's flight gets back from Florida on time... it's scheduled at 11:35 p.m. arrival as it is. :(
