Snow White to get a semi-permanent meet and greet at the Germany pavilion

They are removing the greenery; replacing the tree with a different one; adding a cobblestone pathway to control the line; and adding a wishing well. If it were me, I'd be sure to add an overhang so as to allow Snow White a rain location.

OK...Doesn't sound that bad. Shame about the greenery, but WS has much more.

I tend to wonder, though...Why can't they save these funds for something BIG?

The couple of $1000 this is going to cost isn't going to build you something big, not matter how many of them you save.

If thats what they're doing, I think it'll look fine. Aladdin already has a spot in Morocco so as long as it fits the look of the pavilion, this shouldn't be a problem.

I don't see a problem adding this to Epcot. It's going to make the World Showcase a lot more appealing to little girls (of which, I have 2). And anyone who's not interested can walk right past it.

It may not be a win-win, but I think it's a win-no loose.

The WS is suppose to be about learning about other cultures, what will this teach people? That in Germany they have a princess and that every one is a dwarf. I mean come on hasn't the park been dumbed down enough already?

The line to see her in March was huge, they need something to organize everyone to wait in line and some additional theming would just make it all the more better.

And to the person who suggested Basil getting a ride in UK, you just won the thread. :D

I have a bigger problem with Aladdin, at least SW actually takes place in Germany, last time I checked Aladdin didn't take place in Morocco.

I personally think it's a great idea. Only for the child aspect. I totally agree that WS is all about the culture of the country. An for us adults, that's pretty cool. However, think of it from a child's point of view. I know when I was 10 and Epcot opened, My parents had to drag me and my sister thru WS. They loved it, we hated it.

This could give the kids something to do other than the whole Kidcot thing or whatever it's called.

What's the harm in adding a spoonful of sugar to make the medicine go down?

Has the park been dumbed down? Yes. Enough? Not as far as Disney is concerned. You'll get real frustrated fighting that trend.

It's frustrating enough that Nemo had corupted TLS!

Yeah, I was thinking of that exact example. But, you have to admit, The Seas with Nemo is popular. It gets the kids in the door. I liked the original TLS better than Nemo, but I'll take Nemo over a neglected TLS anyday. Last time I was there, the place was packed. I can't remember the last time I saw TLS packed.

God bless the "Ignore" button.
I guess I never even realized that Snow White was German...
Besides, if I'm in WS and want to see a beatiful girl, I'll just go to the Norway Pavilion. :D
Don't tell my girlfriend I said that. :lookaroun

You know, I love the idea! I think it is great. I think ws needs someting anyway. PLUS it is just in time for the Snow White DVD this fall! I really feel like Snow White get the short end of the stick(as do all of the princesses except Cinderella and Ariel) when it comes to The World. Bring it on.

I've always found the characters in World Showcase pretty harmless. Except for Aladdin and the damned Princess Meal in Norway, at least they're all in the countries the stories originated from. That part itself still contributes a small part towards World Showcase's mission of cultural education, albeit one that gets muddled because of previously mentioned problems.

For everyone who likes this would you be ok with a Wall-e meet and greet in the WS or how about DAK? That makes just ad much sence ws this idea does?
