Universal Pictures has just debuted a brand-new banner for their upcoming fairytale epic, Snow White and the Huntsman. You can check it out below!

Directed by Rupert Sanders, the epic action-adventure stars Kristen Stewart as the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Charlize Theron), who is out to destroy her. But what the wicked ruler never imagined is that the young woman threatening her reign has been training in the art of war with a huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) who was dispatched to kill her. Sam Claflin joins the cast as the prince long enchanted by Snow White's beauty and power.

Snow White and the Huntsman is coming to theaters on June 1, 2012.

Am I the only person that has a problem with "Kristen Stewart as the only person in the land fairer than the evil queen (Charlize Theron)"? Just sayin....

And I still have zero desire to go see this for a couple of reasons. First, Kristin Stewart cannot act unless it is an emo part. She completely messed up Joan Jett and the Twilight series could have chosen better, like http://teresapalmer.net/. And second, and most importantly, it is a snow white film not made by Disney. It just feels wrong.

Well, I do not agree that Kristen Stewart is prettier than Charlize Theron... And I don't even really like blondes that much. :P

I will have to see a trailer before I decide whether or not I want to see it. The promo banner by itself isn't making me go "OOH! I have to see that movie!"

Disney was not the first to tell the story of Snow White just as Mgm was not the first to tell the story of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz and Peter Jackson was not the first one to tell the story of The Lord of the Rings.

I saw Kristin stewart on Jay Leno last week and finally had to turn it off. Boy is she weird!! Her manerisms are so distracting I could hardly focus on what she was saying. Also I guess the Snow White she is playing is more like a biker chick than a Princess, to hear her description. I agree that if it isn't purist Disney then I won't be interested.

Ummmm, Yeah, I kind of know that. ;) It was first told by the Brothers Grimm, and maybe even as far back as the mid 1500's. I'm kind of a Grimm nut. And only a moron would think that Disney came up with Snow White, MGM with Oz, and Peter Jackson with the Rings.

What I was actually referring to was that I am most attached to the Disney version and anything else would be sort of... "off" a little. But I didn't know that I had to explain that.

Not sure how well this movie will do even though it has an "all-star" cast (minus Kristen Stewart of course). I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The tale of Snow White goes way back. I enjoy the story of Snow White and other tales and I would be happy to see different movie versions of Snow White and other tales. I also have 2 radio dramas of the Lord of the Rings on CDs.

Since I like these tales and since I am happy to see and listen to different movie versions and different audio versions of these tales I like to talk about this. I also like to talk about books and how some books are turned into movies and audio dramas. You said some things in your post and I said some things in my post.

By the way since you said that you like the Brothers Grimm I wanted to ask if you have this book? You might like this book. Here is the link. http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Fair...=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1320982850&sr=1-1

No doubt. When I first saw this thats the first thing I thought. So I guess no one really wanted the part or whoever is in charge loves the twilight movies.

I am really tired of them rehashing old fairy tales with Twilight sensabilities. First red riding hood now this!

And Kristen Stewart as the fairest of them all? Not buying it. They only reason they hired her was because of how pale she is!
