Ok, as I sit here getting ready for the "blizzard of the century" and the dumping of 2 to 3 feet of snow and power outages.........and I have to go to work because I'm considered essential, which means I have to drive home in snow snow snow!!!! I'm dreaming of Disney. I would much rather be in WDW!!!! Just walking down Main Street and soaking up the sunshine and atmosphere. Wish me luck today!! I think I'm going to need it!!
And that, my friends is why I moved south. I can now jump in my car at 6 AM and by 2 PM, I'm looking at palm trees and a large mouse in a tux. :D

Pittsburgh here. We're expected to get 1-3, but our weathermen are never right.

Keep safe everyone, get your butts home or whereever you're going as soon as you can. Keep extra blankets in the car in case of emergencies.

This storm sounds like its gonna be a doozy. :\

I'm in Boston as well, not looking forward to it. Also just throwing this out there-- the storm is called Nemo because of Captain Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, not the fish from Finding Nemo. Winter storms are named after science fiction/fantasy literary characters. The picture is cute though, just the wrong Nemo. :P

Maybe you could bring some of that extra snow down here to help cover the back of Expedition Everest :(

Northern IL got hit with one of the two storms that are to hit the East. It isn't pretty here, but less snow than you guys will get. We got hit with ice, then slush then snow so it is very tricky out there today. Get those generators ready to crank, Pixie Dust to everyone, stay safe.

We moved to FL from RI in 2006, along with daughter and her family, but hubby and I have to come back to RI for business(rentals)on and off as needed. I am in RI right now (UGH!!)and to listen to the TV news here it sounds like the world is coming to an end this evening in NJ, NY, CT, RI and MA. We are to get 12 to 30 inches of snow here before it is all over tomorrow afternoon, with temps around 30. I guess if the wind is as bad as they say - up to 60 mph - it will be bad for power outages though, which will make a problem for heating and pipes freezing - not fun. Oh do I miss FL and WDW, my daughter said it is going to be 80 degrees today! I could even listen to the It's a Small World song over and over right now, that's how much I miss FL!

I also hate snow but unfortunately DW has informed me that she will never move to Florida or anywhere south for that matter. I may miss her someday LOL.
Stay safe and warm atleast it will be pretty to look out the window at.

That's what my daughter said when she was 15 and we lived in FL for a year, moving from RI . Fast forward and when we wanted to semi-retire 7 years ago and move back to FL, my daughter at age 32 surprised us and said she was moving to FL from RI, too! That was a total 180 change because she doesn't like a lot of heat. We have been in FL since 2006 and none of us would consider moving back north! Don't give up hope!!!

As someone who lives on Long Island, I feel your pain! Gotta go fill up a gas can for our generator.

As a teacher I get to stay home, happy snow day to me! Catching up on all the recent threads!
I am right there with you! Sometimes I'm worse than the kids praying for snow days and wearing pajamas inside out.:D This storm though sounds dangerous. Stay safe everyone. Here in the eastern panhandle of WV just 1 1/2 hrs outside of DC, we don't get as much snow as we used to.:(
