Ah, you're in St. Louis too huh? What a storm. They actually had to cancel church yesterday and I have to wait one more week until I'm confirmed.:brick: Are you going to go sledding at Art Hill? That's a great sleding hill.

No I didn't go sledding down Art Hill today, but if we have no school tomorrow I will. Are you ready for the snow storm that is moving through tonight?

We had a snow day too! Just like Jen, we have a lot of commuters. Most the teachers live at least 20 minutes away! I totally lucked out. My class wasn't supposed to start until 6pm. And everything was fine by like 2pm or earlier. I also didn't have my work done for that class :hammer:

Yeah! But they said that it should only be at least 1-3 inches of snow. Well, I'm gonna hope and pray for no school tomorrow.

Around these parts, ya gotta make up snow days in June when the weather is warm and sunny...and if ya get too many days off, you begin to lose days from the April vacation.

...forcasting 12+ inches for Tuesday/Wednesday in Connecticut...fun, fun, fun!:hurl:

At least 12 inches for us here in the Mid Hudson Valley. We only have a few snow days left & then they subtract from spring break. My money is paid...I have my plane tickets, baseball tickets and the car service has been ordered. I'm going no matter what.

I hate snow days because the kids are home & I get NO peace!

Don't you have "calamity days" (I think that's what they call them here) We're allowed 5 cancelled days before we have to start making up time.

But yes, today was a snow day. Actually, it wasn't bad at all when we got up, it's what is going to happen by this afternoon that's going to be bad. Hopefully this'll be it and we can get out of here Thursday morning!

We got about an inch of snow last night & the roads are cleared. School started on time. :sohappy:

The storm is to really pick up around 5 pm and drop about 12-18 inches when it finally stops on Thursday.
My DH packed an extra set of clothes because he doesn't think the roads will be passable when he gets out at 9pm. The commute just wouldn't be worth it, its an hour ride in good weather.

"ALL after school activities are CANCELLED for today" :(

Word on the street (OK my 10th grader just called) School should be closed tomorrow...no school for her until Friday (because of midterms...she took her last one today).

We are supposed to be getting new snow tonight also. It snowed for like 5 minutes a lil bit ago. Judging by the clouds, it will start up again. I work tomorrow, so I hope it doesn't snow too much that its a hassle to get out there. Or I hope we get so much snow that they will close it down!
