I love fresh fallen snow. I know it's a pain though and I hope that everyone stays safe.


They aren't even talking about a chance of winter stuff here anymore (they were talking about some maybe around the 15th). I'd love to see some for a day or so, but no more that that. Just a dusting here stops everything. :lol:

The snow let up for a bit...it's been nonstop all day but it slowed down for about 3 hours...we're supposed to be getting the next major bashing of the storm soon. Snow is predicted to stop about 9PM tomorrow night

This is weird, we usually get more snow then you guys in Boston, but not this year.

We've hit the 25 inch mark...and...it hasn't let up yet....

Snowdrifts up to 10 feet.

Yes, the town is snowed in...there are no plows...no sanders...my street has yet to be plowed and from what I've heard from my friend who's a firefighter...they are doing the best they can...and other towns have been called...but nobody has been able to help because they are in the same predicament we're in.

Granted, I wasn't around for our infamous Blizzard of '78...but this is the worst storm I have ever seen. They still say it won't stop until 9PM tonight. (We had a storm of 30 inches last year...but it was powder snow...this is wet, heavy, icy snow)

On the plus side...Miami Dolphins come into town to play the New England Patriots...if it's televised...be sure to watch! (I'd like to see how one team who relies on passing and one team that relies on running can do in a blinding snowstorm)

Miami Dolphins: 8-4-0
New England Patriots: 10-2-0
(If the Pats win this...I believe they clinch the division because if they lose all the following games, we'll still beat out Miami when it comes down to division record)

Darrel, this is kind of a freak storm for us...actually...

This storm has broken all kinds of records...it is the worst snowfall/snowstorm we've had in the first week of December...in recorded history.

Our friend has just plowed us out (for the third time since yesterday), but we still aren't down to blacktop. The dog is sooooooooo happy to get off the porch, but she gets lost if she steps off the path. :lol: (poor arthritic thing) Looks like 24 inches for now. They are predicting more for later, but I hope they are wrong. Think today would be a good day to bake some cookies and watch the football game (but since the JETS stink it won't be much fun....not like the LSU- Georgia game last night!! Some guy won $400,000.00 in the football toss!! )
