Hi Jo and Jenn - are we having fun yet?

Are we supposed to be?

Hey Chrissy!

Thanks! This poor girl has no idea how much I'm going to dress her up:lol:

And she's such a good sport! :D

Yes it is! She has quite the wardrobe already.

I keep telling her that if she thinks I'm bad just wait until my aunt gets here. There are many, many pics of the ways that she used to dress me up...I'm sure she is just itching to get her hands on Mia:lol:

So how was your weekend ladies? We had a pretty relaxed one here. The weather was beautiful so we took Mia outside for lots of walks.

It was good. I had fun helping the marching band.

We were busy all weekend - graduation party Saturday, company Sunday and Monday. Much needed R&R!

Hi Jo!

She's not real fond of getting dressed (she doesn't like to be bothered), but once she is in a good mood I get to have my fun.:D

That's good. I remember Memorial Day parades. It seems like it was always either really hot or raining. On the hot days we always had at least one person pass out.

Aww, poor baby. I guess she doesn't like being a live baby doll. But I have to say, she has the cutest clothes.

Yeah, it was pretty hot. The first parade wasn't too bad, but the second parade was HOT (and of course, that had to be my town's parade). No one passed out though, thank goodness.

Yay! Does she mind wearing the headbands? Abby hated them, I had more luck wearing bonnets on her.
Our weekend was fine - did some yardwork, lots and lots of laundry, and our landscape person came over Sat. and talked with us about what we want to do in the backyard. He dropped the estimates off today.

Mike and I have to talk about it....the regrading and reseeding is well within our budget, but to have mulch delivered and put in will put it over that.....part of the problem is getting a truck that size up our drive and into our backyard....labor for that would cost more than the cost of the mulch.

She has so many cute summer dresses. I can't wait to start putting those on her.

She doesn't seem to mind them. The ones I bought feel like they are made of the same material as tights, so they are pretty stretchy and not tight on her head.

I can't believe how much my laundry has increased with Mia. She is a "spitter" so sometimes we go through 2+ outfits a day. It would be so much easier if we had a washer/dryer here.

How do the backyard estimates look?

Can you have the mulch delivered (possibly at the bottom of the driveway) and spread it yourself?

Baby dresses are the best! They are so cute! :sohappy:

Do you have little baby shoes to go with them?

So far she has one pair of cute shoes that match an outfit and a pair of sneakers. Everyone keeps telling me not to buy shoes because she will just kick them off, but I think I may need to go in search of some more because they are just to cute.

They look allright - we just need to make some decisions about what to do with that area once it's done. Either we keep the existing swingset and get a pool, or replace the swingset and put off the pool. We're leaning toward the former.

A pool would be great. On hot summer days I always wish I had a pool to relax in.

I think we'd face a possible heart attack wheeling the wheelbarrow up and down our crazy driveway that many times. Plus, we need over a ton of mulch and there really isn't anywhere down there to put that much. Otherwise, I'd be happy to take care of it myself.

How about a nice strong high school or college boy to do it....could be nice to look at too:lookaroun

Has Steph been around this weekend?

I asked her on facebook how she is doing. She said her mom is coming this Saturday and if things stay the same she could be in there another 3-4 weeks. I think she had an ultrasound today and he was estimated at over 4lbs.

I think about her every day and hope for a nice balance between enough time for the little guy to grow but not so much that Mommy goes insane being stuck in bed.

That last month is the pits anyway, but being on total bedrest for it would have driven me totally insane!
