Date: 10/22/2009

Once our Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Parties are complete on November 1, the Decorating Support and Holiday Services teams will be in full swing clearing the Park of all fall/Halloween decor and preparing the Park for the Holiday season and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP). Below, please find the production schedule these teams will follow:

Note: All work will take place AFTER Park close on the date listed.

Sunday, November 1: Treat location decor will be struck from the Park, Toll Plaza bunting, Halloween signage at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and the Main Entrance.

Monday, November 2: Strike Halloween statues in the Castle Hub, every other lamp post banner, Town Square Scarecr

Tuesday, November 3: Strike remaining lamp post banners, all fall bunting, Mickey Floral pumpkins and install Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party signage at TTC and Main Entrance.

Wednesday, November 4: Install MVMCP Toll Plaza banners and MVMCP in Town Square planters. Holiday Services will install Main Street interiors, cables for garland on Main Street, U.S.A. Horiticulture will change out Mickey Floral.

Thursday, November 5: Holiday Services will install all exterior decor, Main Street, U.S.A., Tour Guide Gardens and Donald's Tree Lot in Fantasyland.


Coming to the Magic Kingdom® Park: A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas
Date: 10/21/2009

Get ready for a new musical revue, featuring a Cast of Tomorrowland® characters that includes Mike Wazowski, Stitch and Buzz Lightyear, plus a group of young, fun-loving party goers dancing to "songs of the season" in the distinctive style of today's hits. A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas – coming soon to a galaxy near you.

In preparation for A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas, the following technical load-in and rehearsals will take place at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland, potentially impacting Horticulture (sprinklers), Custodial (pressure washing), facilities, and delivery traffic.

10/20 - 10/24 12:30 - 9:00 am Lighting install & programming

10/23 12:30 - 9:00 am Audio install

10/27 - 10/28 12:30 - 9:00 am Audio mix (please keep noise to a minimum while in area)

10/28 12:30 - 9:00 am FX load-in/testing

10/29 - 10/30 12:30 - 9:00 am Tech cue to cue

11/2 11:30 pm - 8:00 am Rehearsals

11/3 9:00 pm - 5:30 am Rehearsals

11/4 8:00 pm - 4:30 am Rehearsals

11/5 8:00 pm - 4:30 am Rehearsals

11/6 10:00 pm - 6:30 am Rehearsals

Oh boy, a new show for the stitch stage. :dazzle: well, here's hoping this one works out better than the last one. Since its holiday related, I guess it won't be staying...

I wonder when the tree is going up in Town Square this year?? :shrug:

We're going the first weekend in December and am thinking we are going to miss it.

I usually thought it was up right after Thanksgiving.

two years ago they put up in between the hub and tomorrowland, and then moved after parade taping -- last year they just put up after the parade taping

hoping they go back to the tomorrowland plan this year . . .

Nov 1st? Really? Way too early....What happened to Thanksgiving?!:zipit:

I don't know.. it's not like they can celebrate it for november when celebrating the holidays means more to them :shrug: if you look they might be doing some Thanksgiving meals this year.

Thanksgiving is a smaller deal as it is more of a family time than run corporate time anyway, think of how much commercialism is there for the holidays versus thanks giving. What would disney do to make thanks giving work for most of november anyway? People don't necessarily decorate their yards for thanksgiving, they decorate dinning rooms, and Disney does tend to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal on property somewhere....
