I wonder if there are any Pixar films in the pipeline that focus on energy.
Aren't there some rumblings about how "The Good Dinosaur" might play a part in UoE at some point in some way??? You have to associate every ride and pavilion with a Disney movie!I wonder if there are any Pixar films in the pipeline that focus on energy.
I did too Martin. But, the point was that it isn't embarrassing at all. It is a situation that is different then it was, but, that happens all the time. Having a frozen AA standing there when it is supposed to move (yea, I'm talking about you Yeti) is an embarrassment because there is a good chance that that can be fixed and is worthy of being fixed because it would add greatly to the attraction. That Ellen scene has been an embarrassment since it was installed. The AA was terribly done (both of them actually) and it is a blessing that it finally did stop whatever movement it had and was removed. Now it's just a different spot in the show. One that one would think should have something in it, but doesn't. It really doesn't interrupt the entire story line. You do hear voices, but, that is hardly the only place in the ride where just voices are used.I took it as a figure of speech..
If this is true, and I have no reason to doubt it, then they did indeed replace it with something relevant. The dialog was foolish anyway, and can still be considered to be Ellen running through the wilderness confronted with unpleasant challenges. The show had a change of script. Shows do that! There are three teradons, or whatever they are called in that position now. All fully functional and they blend in well with the large one next to the "volcano".
Let's not forget that the missing scene "no new rider will notice" is front and center on the app every guest has to useThere are three teradons, or whatever they are called in that position now. The only audio, as of this past week, was the squeaking of the teradons. No Ellen or growling from the previous set holders.I did too Martin. But, the point was that it isn't embarrassing at all. True, but is an easily fixed oversight.Let's not forget that the missing scene "no new rider will notice" is front and center on the app every guest has to use

Yep! Also checked website today and it is still there too. Seems like Energy is not even getting the Yeti treatment. I think the are hoping that guests will think they missed this scene with all of the "action" going on while on the ride.
Oh wait, what am I saying. They don't even care.

Yeti treatment meaning, that they didn't just leave it broken in place. They removed it altogether. I know I know it was there for quite awhile broken in place. But, we are talking right now. And by "now" I mean the last 9 months or so.
Do my eyes deceive me??? I was watching a video of the Disneyland RR. It passes through a prehistoric tunnel before getting back to mainstreet. I could have sworn that there are two scenes that look identical to UoE main scenes. The two I am referring to are T-Rex fight scene and the apatosaurus eating at the opening scene..
By the way. I find the Disneyland steam train annoying by the fact that you are sitting sideways the whole time. I much prefer WDW train that has normal forward sitting arrangement. I have not rode the DLR steam train first hand, only seen videos showing this. But annoying all the same.
So you haven't experienced the DLR Railroad, but you're annoyed with it? If you had experienced it, you'd know the train offers both side and frontal seating.
Sheesh.
Well, this is based off several videos that show the same seating arrangement all the times. The guests are all facing the right side of forward motion. Was just making a comment that I would not like that over a forward seating arrangement.
Already stated that I did not ride it, only saw videos of it.
If you saw videos online of rides with broken or missing animatronics would you not also be annoyed. Insert any ride here (Energy, The Land, Its a Small World, Splash (pre-refurb), etc.) It is just a preference thing, I still would go on it if given the chance.
geeze. Take a breath and relax.
Given the aim of Future World and relevance of energy in today's society, I find it truly surprising that this pavilion has stayed stagnant for so long. Actually, I sort of anticipated a BP goodwill sponsorship after the devastating spill of 2010.
There better off using this image again as it was more iconic to the attraction......And Fantasia since it's was a tribute from the Rite of Spring Sequence..

I like to think of you as some guy who breaks into WDI's main office and steals papersAn alternate proposal for the 1996 refurb.
Reminded me of how Imagineers always try to plus things. In my mind they plused the tunnel by making a whole new ride in EPCOT.
