Well, they can't profit from it so yes they want to make sure you don't have a "good time" unless you are buying it from them, which is their rightPersonally? I think the smoking ban is to combat the future marijuana legalization. It's going to eventually be recreational. They don't want the hassle. JMO. They had no problem with smoking sections for almost five decades now. The timing is interesting. Hope folks aren't thinking Disney is doing this out of the goodness of their hearts ...
I can see it now... Mickey Skunk, right next to the macaroons and Goofy Snacks.Well, they can't profit from it so yes they want to make sure you don't have a "good time" unless you are buying it from them, which is their right

Correction - Disney DOES sell cigarettes. For example, the various "general stores" at resorts, like the Boardwalk or Disney Springs.Oh I agree that's also part of it. They benefit from alcohol sales. They don't sell cigarettes or vaping equipment (or medical marijuana)
Wonder if they will stop selling it now that they're banning it in the parks. It'd be nice; some of those cigars are awful.Correction - Disney DOES sell cigarettes. For example, the various "general stores" at resorts, like the Boardwalk or Disney Springs.
yea, I have a feeling once Disney sees the state of the bathrooms they will quickly put the smoking sections bakUh oh. I suspect the lines to get into bathroom stalls are about to get much longer. No cameras in there. And the smell of a little vape won't be the thing you notice in a Disney bathroom.
Yea wonder what the fate of the tobacco store will be in Disney Springs? Pretty ironic if they ban smoking but not the smoke shops and cigarettes at the general stores.Wonder if they will stop selling it now that they're banning it in the parks. It'd be nice; some of those cigars are awful.
Not holding my breath on it, though.
That's exactly what they have in MK outside of big thunder mountainI say make an area where smokers can smoke and "service animal" owners can have their pets relieve themselves all in the same area!
I see what you did there...Wonder if they will stop selling it now that they're banning it in the parks. It'd be nice; some of those cigars are awful.

Will their be a fastpass plus for the smoking area outside the park? lolI mean... smokers can just plan now when they need a smoke break and then schedule it into their day. How do smokers survive at work or on a long flight?
Possibly... But I doubt it. People that need butts will leave the property to get them if necessary. And that's the LAST thing Disney wants, moral high ground or not. Just like there being no clocks in casinos and getting oxygen pumped in.Wonder if they will stop selling it now that they're banning it in the parks. It'd be nice; some of those cigars are awful.

Now Disney will need to start selling nicotine gum and patches.

That's what bathrooms (with fans) are for. They do? I wasn't aware of that. But the resorts have always had a smoking policy and it makes more sense to say "um, duh folks, no smoking in the hotel rooms ..."
Smoke detectors in all the restrooms (if not already there ) will be an easy way of policing this. Smokers are more likely to light up in out of the way outdoors areas.yea, I have a feeling once Disney sees the state of the bathrooms they will quickly put the smoking sections bak
