There is a fragrance by Demeter called Mesquite. It also smells just like the burning of Rome in SE. I always smell it when I go to Sephora. Spritz some on one of the little test strips and carry the smell of SE with you wherever you go!!!

Sort of off topic but not exactly:

I wish they'd make an air freshner that smells like Soarin'. You know, a mixture of pine and orange. I'd love it! :lookaroun

Take a gallon of gas, pour it all over your floor. then, take a box of matches and light them all at the same time. Drop it on the ground, and enjoy the smells.

You could always buy a pine and an orange air freshener and put them both in your car together?!?!

:lookaroun

That might work!!!

But thanks anyway! :)

You mean synthetic pine and orange scent sprayed onto colored tree-shaped cardboard doesn't have the same appeal as the real thing?

;)

I guess you are right. It was just a thought!!!

Cool! And here I am thinking that I'm the only idiot that actually likes the smell of the "Dark Ages".

Nahhh.. I like it too. As a matter of fact, the ride stopped temporarily to load someone from a wheelchair to the ride (assuming) and the car I was in stopped right in front of the "Dark Ages" scene. :)

But...but...when the ride stops, the smell is supposed to stop, and the vent is supposed to pull out all the smell (so people won't get too annoyed, I guess). Granted, I've never been at this scene with the ride stopped, so I don't know if that's actually how it works or not.

But that's what They told me.

Just go to someone's home who has a wood stove and you'll get all the SSE smell you want. ;) Took me many rides before I realized why that smell was so familiar - then I realized it smelled like my aunt's log cabin. Like, identical.

On a recent visit to WDW, my wife and I were able to try the Lapsang Souchong Tea offered at the Twinnings Shop at EPCOT. Much to our surprise this smell was identical to the "Burning of Rome" smell experienced while riding Spaceship Earth.
WOW, are you right! I had to dig up this thread. I found Lapsang Souchong Tea at Wegmans (our supermarket up here) so I had to buy it. WOW, I'm in SSE right now. Thanks!
