As for Nemo... it wasn't that the ride was great before, it was that the concept was so much more inspiring and EPCOT like. I agree that the ride/pavilion needed a redo, but I would have liked to see more of a technological and experiential upgrade to the existing concept then yanking it out in favor of Nemo.
Oh I definitely agree. At the very least, the ride could have used the Nemo characters, but instead used them to make the ride educational and informative about the oceans.

Still, I don't consider it worse than having the old Living Seas ride. It was just a ride through the aquarium which you can walk through in the SeaBase observation level anyway.
They've been working on redoing the entire Red & White area (the one mentioned) for the past 4 weeks and stil have a couple more weeks to go. The whirly-gigs are being stored backstage next to UOE for now.
So does this mean they could come back? The slots in the pavement where they were were paved over.

Will be so nice to see the clear open space again of those walkways once all the tarps and poles come down.

Now if we could just get something done about those stupid triangles and curtains in the SE finale.:brick:

Hope they do not put back the whirly gigs.

If they put them in the planters that are already in plaza then I could maybe live with that. But do not want them back into the walkways.

And not just get rid of but DESTROY the Tarps. So that they can never come back. As for the triangles in SSE, if you got them in there, TURN THEM ON!

And when they do it will probably be a plot by those evil triangles to take over the world anyway.

If they are taking the tarps down, why would they be repaving those areas where they are going to have to rip up the concrete again to remove the large poles? Doesn't make financial sense and would lead me to believe that they are staying for quite some time still.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
The spinning thingies were on the most (out of the few) entertaining attractions at epcot center!!!.... :lookaroun/:cry:

I definitely agree that the old living seas wasn't that good. However, it fit with Epcot. Right now to me The Seas with Nemo sticks out oddly front its signage out front being overly cartoony with the lovable but random "mine" birds. It's just an odd addition.

I would much rather see the area revamped with a new ride design. Keep the ride through the aquarium...its nice and relaxing...but have an addition "deep sea" simulator or something inside.

It should be more "Epcot," but let's face it: in 2006, TLS was a visually outdated pavilion.

Futureistic Energy

If you look from the monorail, they are all sitting backstage over by Universe of Energy...
Would be cool and appropriate if they converted the "For show" versions of these spinners to actual power producing entities that are now in use. It would go along with the theme of futuristic development and would make the most sense near the Universe of Energy pavilion. Must save the Fiberoptic cement panels though!

I heard the solar panels on Energy don't work anymore.. not sure where I heard it or even if it is true.
