I disagree. And worried the end result may look weird; just to make it look bigger! The turrets look so much better when they are not solid blue like the ones we ve seen on the bottom.

I disagree with your disagreement
I think what could make or break it will be how it transitions. We already know what they’re going for, but hopefully the blending from solid to feathered isn’t harsh. The turrets look so much better when they are not solid blue like the ones we ve seen on the bottom.
LOVE the look!
I'm wondering if they just look plasticky against the overcast sky. When I was there this past weekend the ones I saw didn't look plasticky. The turrets look much better when they re not solid blue but why do they look so plasticky? I know the sun will tone down all the colors but it looks like they went with a different material on the turret shingles. The brick color scheme is growing on me.
It’s such a fantasy color palette for such a real architecturally inspired castle. The subtler pink just worked better with the architecture and the rest of the land. It reminds me of Disneyland Paris’ castle which, while beautiful and works wonderfully for Paris, is designed specifically to be fantastical in every way due to the proximity of real castles.

I recall reading somewhere that this refurb would see the tops of the towers replaced with cast replicas. That close-up photo on the last page seems to confirm that they no longer feature real shingles but rather one solid rooftop that is meant to resemble shingles from a distance. The turrets look much better when they re not solid blue but why do they look so plasticky?
