Skyway Station Demolition

Idk if that is accurate bc there needs to be more space into the opening of story book circus which would mean dumbo would needed to be moved back putting it directly over the skyway turning area

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the new entrance to SBC going to be further up now!?! I thought the concept art showed the entrance up near the end of the TLM attraction!?!

sheash... with the current loss of the "alice" trick or treat trail... it seems a quarter of te event has changed for 2011.... They did experiment with having them in the outside seating area for Pinocchio earlier last year... so maybe it would be near there?

I've been wondering what this year's MNSSHP will be like this year too? There was a lot going on in TT during the party... Donald had his M&G by his boat, there were games for the kiddies, face painting, Alice and the Mad Hatter M&G at the start of the trick or treat trail, etc.

Welcome to the boards, but here is a tip for you....if Martin says it is true, IT IS TRUE!!!!

You also have to remember that with all the changes the "entrance" to that area will change closer to Mermaid not the old one near Tea Cups.

I've heard word that the restrooms between Peter Pan and Harbor House will be removed for additional queue space. The old Skyway Station will be the site of new restrooms, expanded stroller parking, and additional walkway space as indicated.

WAIT A MINUTE...
So what you're saying is that soon not one, but BOTH gorgeous architectural buildings known as the Skyway stations will have been razed to the ground for standard restroom purposes!!!!!!!!!:mad:

I'm nearing hysterics here.
Give me that @#&! contractor number...

Not sure if the permit in question applies to what I've heard. Could be in relation to Speedway work.

Operationally they've been mulling ways to improve guest flow from Harbor House to Pinocchio's. This has resulted in several changes from small things like making the doors to both quick services in the area "exit only" to reworking the entrance to it's a small world recently. However on peak days it's not uncommon to see extended queues from both attractions further clogging up the walkway.

Here's hoping that if they do chose to utilize the old Fantasyland Skyway Station that they will attempt to retain or emulate the style of the area. It would also be a shame to lose another great water feature too, but I don't think the master planners back at WED ever could predict/prevent the capacity issues that the park is dealing with now after forty years.

if this permit is not for work on speedway, sadly :( this is the only thing that would make sense
