isn't the Animation to the 3D tunnel's going to be totally different in orlando then hollywood because in hollywood they have the tram in the footage, which wouldn't fit in with the ride vehicles in orlando?

Yes, the footage would have to be different. Orlando's vehicles don't look anything like trams.

And i guess the story will be different as well.. So i dont think the same footage would work in Orlando :)

I've seen them too...and Robert is seriously downplaying what he's seen.

Guess Universal hasn't shown him the love WDW has....:bored:

Although Niles gave Fast and Furious at USH a good review... Clearly that is not an endorsement of his better judgement, but he certainly can't be off payroll if he liked that turd.

There's the issue. If you're expecting an IJA attraction, yea, you're gonna be disappointed.

This is much more than "Enter the temple, watch 360 show, see Kong, leave" however. Each scene entails more than that.

This is good to know and that's my ultimate worry!

The real problem is some Uni oriented forums have again simply overbuilt and oversold this attraction. When people say it's going to be 'The best attraction yet', 'Uni's answer to the criticism they can't do proper dark rides'... then ya, my expectation is it's better than IJA, or at the very least on par.

It's the opposite problem Disney has, people expect everything to be a disappointment while every move Uni makes is predicted to be the second coming.

And just for the record: this is really a criticism of the fans overhyping these things, not Universal.

It...kind of is though? I was not saying it won't be on the same level quality-wise, just saying the rides aren't comparable structurally and design-wise.

With what I know I personally think it COULD be Universal's best attraction yet. It's certainly ambitious and different.

You know what else is awesome? An attraction of such a magnitude has been constructed without having a movie or major production backing it in over ten years. Sure there are obvious borrowings from Peter Jackson's telling aesthetically and atmosphere, but even that film is over ten years old. This rarely happens. The draw for this relies on Kong just being iconic and the ride being amazing.

Avatar will also be almost 8 when that land finally opens ;)
