Inside the temple will be big bugs, giant bats and a really big gorilla.

The climax scene is giant 3D screens. But there will be AAs, practical effects, a spieler, scareactors, and some major surprises. Imagine if Kilimanjaro Safari, Indiana Jones Adventure, Great Movie Ride, Spider-man, and a dash of Halloween Horror Nights were all thrown into a blender.

It will be very "Universal".

I'm assuming those tire tracks are painted on? No one has seen ride vehicles in motion yet, right?

They are probably from the special dust/paint they use to test the tracking software the ride vehicles use, from the tracks they can see any defects or deviations on the pathing of the vehicle and adjust it accordingly

does anyone think it might soft open by april 8th aka grad bash

Perhaps not long after, but I believe they open the rides up to employees in a restricted soft open first. Don't see there being enough time for them to finish that and soft open by Grad Bash. More likely, June/July, I would assume. But I also have no inside information and am just shooting in the dark, so take this for what it's worth.

I think memorial Day or early June is closer to reality. No way to have it all done by early April. This will be the counter to SDL opening.

Robert Niles from Themepark insider says he has seen the blueprints for the ride, and unfortunately it is just the 3D Hollywood version - with the animatronic. I guess those were suggesting it was going to be different, longer, and bigger in scope were wrong.

Shame.

February 24, 2016 at 11:58 AM ·I've seen the blueprints for Kong. Inside the show building, it's a 360 3-D tunnel, followed by the animatronic scene, and that's it. There's a set-up scene outside, and a dramatic drive through the gates to enter the building, but the heart of the ride is the 360 3-D tunnel, as in Hollywood. Plussed-up footage, though.
I am worried that expectations for Kong are wildly exceeding what the ride will deliver. It will be a great attraction, but it's not going to be a 10-minute-plus, Pirates-style ride."

I've seen them too...and Robert is seriously downplaying what he's seen.
