Trip Report Sixth Sense - " I see a LOT of people" - a Max Trip Report - COMPLETED

Hello All
Welcome to my first trip report in almost 3 years.
I will spare you the usual sob story of how vacations were booked and cancelled due to - you know - that thing we do not like to talk about much anymore.

Above from Left to right we have Stephanie (DD) , Tricia (DW) and Cassie (DD) in the front row
And Jordan (SIL), me ( Max, Andrew, Drew, Clarence) and Shane.

The last trip for me and Tricia was Nov 2019 to Disneyland.
The entire group last went in Dec 2018 to WDW.

The 2018 trip was a celebration of Steph and Jordan being engaged (married on Oct 5, 2019)

This trip we have another engaged couple!!

Shane popped the question in March 2022 and Cassie of course said yes!

Dates - Sunday Oct 2 - Sunday Oct 9
Stayed at the Dolphin - three separate rooms for the three couples

The title you ask?

Well six people went to WDW and arrived just a few days after a hurricane blew through - we thought crowds might dip - boy were we wrong!!

A few more pictures from Buffalo Trace bourbon distillery

We could not book a tour - it was crazy busy for a Wednesday morning - all tours were booked and it took us 30 min to get in (there was a line!!)
So we did a tasting instead - at 10:15am - it was 5 oclock somewhere!!


A fun detour during a busy week

In addition to two very nice restaurants in Lexington we ate at a Hardees, an Olive Garden , a Cheesecake Factory and a Chick-fil-A

All places that are either rare or do not exist in Canada

I will get back to the WDW trip tomorrow

That sign confuses me as I understand Sazerac owns Buffalo Trace?
I guess Bill Goldring is a "family owned" situation but they have hundreds of brands. Good stuff but not really a homey company.

I had this dessert on our last trip and not only was it pretty to look at but so very good! Hubby and I decided that on our next trip, we would try more of the food options here, how was the rest?

The food was really good - everyone enjoyed their meal - it and Docking Bay 7 from DHS were voted top counter service on this trip

Night time in Pandora

We had fun with the Photo pass - although some of the poses where a little weird

Day 6 - Oct 7 - Epcot

Shane was able to get up BG 43 for GOG - first ride for the young crew - second ride for T and I.

Refurb going on at the Dolphin right near our room - I talked to the manager about it later in the trip

We did rope drop just outside of the International Gateway - I was picked as the first person to go through the scanners

The bucket hats were out in full force this morning

Waiting in line for Remy

Really fun ride - I would rope drop it or catch it at the end of the day - but not endure a long line or pay extra for it.

Onward to Test Track
The girls designed a vehicle

And so did the boys

The sun was blinding so this is not the greatest ride photo

Our GOG Boarding group was getting close so we went there and took more pictures

Day 6 - Friday Oct 7 2022 cont'd

Guardians ride was great the second time for T and I - first time for the rest

We had the Conga song
Steph was woozy - and so was I - this time we had candy which helped

Ride times were long again so we headed to World Showcase to get some lunch

Jordan and I waited in a long line for Mexican Margherita's
Cassie and Steph picked up some Viking coffee
Shane got a cinnamon roll

We walked around the world and kept eating

We all ended up in Morocco in the shade to eat - it was a hot day for sure - I had abandoned the Test Track polo and was just wearing a black shirt from underneath.

Wait times were worse so we decided to head back to the hotel at this point

Day 6 cont'd
We did stop for one more thing before heading out

Orange slushies for Shane, Jordan and I - and a citron slushie for Tricia (who also got a macaron from the french bakery)

Tricia and I decided to take the Skyliner to the Riveria

We walked around and I played a little bocce ball before coming back

Overall the Skyliner is a good addition but to be honest the view is not great (not much to look at)
And as per @Tuvalu report when it breaks down you are kinda stuck!!

I do not think I would stay at the Riveria - a little too isolated - I like the Epcot IG resorts better

After resting at the hotel we went back to Epcot and had dinner at Le Cellier

Very disappointing - slow service and food quality not anywhere near the cost
It is hard to say (as a Canadian) but we will not be returning for a long time)

[RememberWhen]

We used to love Le Cellier, but haven’t been in a few years as quality wasn’t matching price. Swan/Dolphin has a good steak place if that’s your goal.
