Hi, DH and I plan an EPCOT day for December 16... Any ideas/recommendations for a nice breakfast before our day starts? (Not QS) We don't really want to eat at CBR, and are willing to take an Uber to one of the Epcot resorts early to eat, provided we can make rope drop easily. (Walking or boat). We have DDP. Akershus looks OK, but not really what we want... There seems to be no early breakfast places at EPCOT... Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Trattoria al Forno is the only thing that comes to mind. It replaced Kouzzina when it went bye-bye, but I have not personally been there yet.

I can however back up @CaptainAmerica 's recommendation of Kona Cafe at the Poly. It is one of the better table service restaurants on property.

If you are willing to make the run to the Poly, the Wave at the Contemporary is also worth a look.

All the Epcot resorts have breakfast restaurants with buffets (but I believe the Beach Club and Swan both have character breakfasts, which means lots of kids and interruptions by giant furry animals :cautious: ).

I've been to Fresh (at the Dolphin) and Trattoria al Forno (at the Boardwalk) for breakfast and both were great. And it would probably be easier to make rope drop at Epcot than from one of the Magic Kingdom resorts.

We love Kona, but really really want to be within the EPCOT area... I didn't think anything was open early enough in EPCOT. So I guess I was looking for early am ADR at one of EPCOT resorts... Nothing really snagged my attention! Thanks

Another vote for Capt's Grille at the YC - you can do either buffet or a la carte, and it's spacious, quiet, and a short walk or boat ride to the International Gateway. One of our favorite breakfast spots

Thank you all! I think Captain's Grille is probably our choice... After getting all these responses, I read up on it and the word on the street is that it's the CMs favorite off duty breakfast. Sooooo, if the staff thinks it's good and they eat there I'm willing to give it a shot! (Plus that lobster omelet sounds pretty darn good!). We plan on Kona on our non park day! Merci, gracias, arigato, grazie, and thanks a million! Sparkle on!

I dont know about favorite but I have seen numerous parties of CM's there during breakfast so that part I Am sure is right. It is a great spot, nice and quiet and a great way to start the day! Marie

so when you say "sit down" you mean table service? sunshine seasons, although it is a CS, has a decent selection in the morning. and there is seating. i usually go with some oatmeal, an omelet of some kind, and yes a piece of strawberry cake.

Cape May Cafe is a favorite if you want a character breakfast!! It's great.

Yes, thank you, I should have been clearer... I'm looking for a "peaceful" (lol-no such thing @ WDW) morning start for what I believe will be a busy, but ultimately fantastic, day! Thanks for all your help!
