a.k.a. The Adventures of Pascal TR

Intro:
Welcome everyone to my very first trip report! Ahh!!! All week, I’ve been trying to be good and wait to start on my TR until I got my lesson plans for school done (they’re all due tonight), but… since I’m currently at work and am at a place where I can’t do any work on my lessons until I’m out of the office, I figured that posting the beginnings would be a good idea! :lol: As you may have read in my Pre Trip Report, this trip has definitely been a long time coming… a 4 year wait for me in fact! I was told that if I didn’t write my trip report for this trip, I would be “disowned, unfollowed, and shunned”… thanks for that one Kenzie!

In the midst of the trip, we got to celebrate both of our birthdays and Valentine’s Day, so it was a magical experience indeed.

So without further ado:

The cast:

There’s me, Courtney, who turns 23 tomorrow (AHHHH!) and this was my 19th trip to the World… and then there’s my wonderful BF, Dan, who turned 23 the day before our trip (Feb 12) and who is lucky enough (or not) to spend his first WDW visit with me!

There was a third member of our cast as well… a mischief stowaway by the name of Pascal!

The dates: February 13 through February 17, 2012


The resort: Pop Century

I am so bad about reading TRs - every few months I take an afternoon and catch up :lol:

What a great TR! I had amusing commentary throughout, but neglected to post as I went along. Oh well! You guys had a great time, and your pictures turned out great! I especially love that color effect on your early ToT pictures - really cool!

I'm not a runner (yet!), but I will be a local by the time the ToT 10 miler comes around (5 more months!). If all the "cool" people from WDWMagic will be there, I'll just have to come out to support everyone who is running. :wave:

Finally had a chance to finish reading your trip report, Courtney. So happy to hear that this was your BEST. TRIP. EVER. And that there will be many more like it to come. Congrats on the weight loss - you look fabulous! And good luck with your training for the 10K... just be forewarned, those races are addicting, so I doubt it will be your last.

Oh yes, and I heart the Many Adventures mirror shot! Made of win.

Waahh it caann't be over!! I have had SOO MUUCH fun reading this trip report!
I don't know if it's because he got a lot of sun, but Dan's face was looking a little red on the DME (possibly from tearing up?) Haha!
I think every time I fly home our flight gets delayed and I'm like "Mom it's a sign!" or "Aww maan we could've spent like 2 more hours in the parks!" :lol:
I'm glad that you guys had a fantastic trip and that Dan has become "one of us"! Haha!
Can't wait til you run the TOT 10-miler and then I get to read that TR!

6 more months!!!! And I'm sure we'll have LOTS of TRs to read between now and then

haha oh ya! Might have to make sparkly capris to match you guys...I've tried on a few running skirts and haven't liked em

hmmmm... I've never tried the skirts on yet. I'll have to look into it? We'll work it out between the three of us. Twitter convos! hahaha.

You know I'm a crier too and I got all teary when you were describing getting teary your last night at MK and on DME. I cry every single time

you should get a ticket to the post-race bash that night!!!! I feel like we're going to just all attack each other that weekend haha.

Yeah the schedule is pretty tight right now, keep in mind I'm only taking off 2 Days from work for this move!!! I can't believe we're moving NEXT week and this is Jason's last week of work. I can't wait for ToT 10mi in September!! We're going to have a blast!

I loved reading your report. Your story has some similarities to mine-which made me all the more excited to go on my trip in May. I am also in the process of losing weight and have a bucket list goal of running a race at Disney. I haven't signed up for anything yet, I'm giving myself at least another year or two! I'm so sad your Trip Report is over. It truly made the waiting for my trip go by a bit easier...now I don't know what to do with myself. Please do another TR when you get back from your next trip in September! I'm looking forward to reading it already!

Oh, where to start? I know this isn't the first time you've heard this but you two are adorable together! You're so lucky to have a great guy that now LOVES Disney as much as you do and who takes into consideration your thoughts and feelings! That's soooooo precious! You made me cry several times! LOL! I HATE the last day I'm at Disney. I always know that I'll be back but for some reason it's so sad and there are times where I feel like what if I don't make it back? Like what if something bad happens that prevents me from ever coming back? I know it's stupid to think that way but that's just how my brain works sometimes. It's so magical and there's just something about Disney that makes you forget EVERYTHING and takes you back to being a kid again! I'm 32 and I know I will NEVER get tired of going to Disney! I hope that one of these days I can meet a man who likes Disney as much as I do or least one who lets me convert him! Haha! Great TR, I've enjoyed reading it and I feel like I know both of you now, as creepy as that sounds. :lookaroun I look forward to reading your September TR and congratulations on losing weight, you look great! :wave:

Trust me, if I can do this (and I'm determined to do so), so can you! I'm struggling with overcoming athletic induced asthma on top of the rest of the weight that needs to go to be healthy to be able to run this race... 170 days until the next trip! And I'm looking forward to reading your TR, it's gonna be a long summer. :lol:

And I know what you mean about the feeling like you won't make it back... it was the longest 4 years of my life between this last trip and the one before. And I had 3-4 trips fall through in that time. Talk about life depression.

Wait for the next TR... as it stands, there may be five of us going now. Originally, it was going to be just my friend Claire and I, but... I talked someone into joining me for the race, and she wants her finace to come, and he wants his brother person (whom I don't know at all... :lookaroun I mean... wait, no I do :lol: ) to come as well so he has someone to hang out with while we run. So who knows what THAT trip will bring! But the room's booked, the race is paid for, all I need is flights and for summer to be over!!!

So I came in really late but great trip report!!

I turned 21 in October and I'm going in August so I love all of the drink pictures!

you and your bf have got to stop being so cute and sweet together!

so I love boy meets world and so does my bf and I'm excited cause now its on everyday 2-4 on mtv2 yayyy! but my bf tells me he likes all these shows I like but he will never admit it to anyone else lol.

so ToT is like my favorite and I love meet the robinsons and "keep moving forward" is like my favorite Walt Disney quote!

I'm glad you got your bf into your Disney obsession, I'm working on mine lol

Funny thing is Dan use to say he hated, and I mean HATED, boy meets world. But then we watched it every morning. I think he realized he hated Full House or Saved By the Bell and just had them confused.

I feel like you're me reading my TR! What is this craziness! haha. Meet the Robinsons is the best, I love it so much. I asked Wilbur to be my prom date senior year (idk if I said that in the TR anywhere... hmmm), he's just so awesome. lol.
