any chance they'll stop shoving him down our throats. For example, will they put the shpiel on the monorails back to normal anytime soon?
Speaking of Stitch replacing everything...Alien Encounter should be put back into place. I hate stitch!:hurl:
................and yet for a fad "we" can't stand, "we" sure don't have a problem discussing it................:drevil:
You mean, almost the exact same attraction as Great Escape?
I like Stitch! He makes me laugh. Let's not hate on Stitch. Iam 36 years old- so he is not just for kids either.
Actually, I just back from WDW too and I saw a bunch of stuff without stitch on it. There were plenty of shirts. Maybe you didn't look in the same places as me. I personally really like stitch. I like SGE, but that is also due to the fact that i hated Alien Encounter. I think that they really have stopped promoting him as much as they used to. Right now, it seems like they are promoting Nemo a lot with the ride and the musical. That is just my thoughts.I just recently returned from my WDW trip, though I still haven't had the time to post my trip report and the little things I've noticed around the parks (I'll try to do that tomorrow), but I could not believe the degree to which Stitch was integrated with every facet of the park. I have no problem with Disney heavily marketing Stitch alone, or Stitch with Lilo or other people from the movie, but I am utterly disgusted by the fact that Stitch is now marketed with what I consider to be the Disney Five of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto. The worst part is that, on many t-shirts and balls and hats, Stitch has completely replaced Minnie. I was able to find loads of merchandise that purely had Stitch, but I found nothing at all that had Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto together WITHOUT Stitch. I think its ridiculous because Stitch is not nearly as old of a character, nor as popular, as these, yet they throw him into everything. I honestly believe that the reason Stitch is just shoved down everyone's throats is because Disney realized how utterly lame SGE is (and thats not coming from a Stitch-hater, at least someone who wasn't a Stitch-hater before getting to WDW, or someone who loved Alien Encounter, just from someone who enjoys good attractions). I think the thought process very well might have been that, if everyone sees Stitch all over the place, they might just think that they are missing the point of SGE or that it must be better than it seems because, well, everyone must love Stitch. The fact is that Stitch is overmarketed, and I think Disney will suffer for it, as no one in my family got any souvenirs in Disney because we couldn't get anything with our favorite characters and NOT Stitch, and I really doubt we are the only ones.

Yeah and Mission to Mars and Mission Space are almost the exact same attractions as well
No, I'm serious. I've been on both, and I really can't see what people are getting in an uproar about. To be frank, both were/are rather subpar as far as an attraction go, and use the same techniques and thematic elements between the show. The only major difference is the audio and the AA.
