I just saw the kangaroos for the first time when I was there last. I had never gone to the path where they are. And the pictures I have of them look like them in that picture, always nice and relaxed!

I believe the Louisville zoo started this concept called islands....

the way it is set up, there are 3 sections, and the animals in each section are confined to that section (they can only get from section to section during the rotation)

In 1 section they have tigers, in the next, orangutangs,and in the final....some pig/tapir like animals......they do the rotation once or twice each day, and what happens is that the tigers smell the fact that food was recently there, and the apes/pigs/tapirs smell the fact a predators was just there....so they don't really ever lounge around
