It was indeed mine. It's taken two years for them to OK me to donate again.

They had decided that anyone who had received blood before a certain date can not donate. I'd had an operation about twenty years ago and could not remember if I'd received any blood.

The hospital wanted about $50 to tell me if that was the case (the hospital from the same organisation that wants me to donate the blood ). I refused and it's taken two years to sort the mess out.

The hospital sill won't tell me, but I was interviewed by a doctor from the Blood service who concluded that I would not have received blood.

Among my weird habits is that I don't drink! The diet lemonade tasted just as refreshing as it did yesterday.
