I went and saw this movie with my cousin and my sister's fiance. I have never been through so many emotions during a movie in my life!!! I laughed. I cried. I kissed 6 bucks goodbye. Ha ha, no that's what my dad always says about movies. Anyway, I laughed, cried, and jumped out of my seat so many times during this movie!!!!! I don't have any complaints about this movie at all, it was absolutely fabulous. The actors/actresses were magnificently cast into the movie, Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix were fabulous, as were the little kids. ADORABLE! All actors gave a phenomenal performance!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!:D

And my favorite part of the movie is when Mel Gibson ran around the house pretending to be a madman!

And no, the ending did not stink, I thought it was good.

I knew exactly what would happen in the ending, I thought it was easy to predict.

I would agree with that, but the movie just made me overthink the outcome. I kept thinking this would be one of the movies that had an unhappy ending...I really thought that it was going to end on a bad note. The 6th sense was kinda sad at the end. Anyways, cant wait for DVD

Ok, the aliens show their intelligence thru many scenes (The basement being the bast, I have never jumped so high in my LIFE!) yet they land on a planet made up more then half by water? Okaaaay... That was a potential spoiler, yet at the same time it wasn't, lol

I loved the fact that they didn't show the alien that much...(I was disappointed at the CGI alien at the end though...) The blurred one at the kid's b-day party was awesome! The whole movie was just all-around great! In my opinion, the best movie of the year so far (although Spiderman was really good too).

I keep hearing how dissapointed ppl were about this movie. They were going in expecting another "INDEPENDENCE DAY." I hate that.

Oh, well... I respect their opinions, but they should have known better!!!

Oh, and Abigail(SP?) Breslin(SP?), the actress who played the daughter was GREAT!!! So was Rory Culkin(S?), who DID look a lot like his older brother.

Independence Day was hollywood's way of promoting Will Smith more...THAT'S IT!

Signs was a truly GOOD, REALISTIC movie!

I really like how they only concentrated on this ONE family...and how YOU found out what was going on at the same time the family did...they didn't show you the invasion in "hollywood style" all over the world...just what was broadcasted on TV.

You didn't know about ANYTHING until it was happening to the family...it put you right into the minds of the members of the family.

I was in Newtown today, so I took this shot of the bookstore. I took one of the pizza shop also, but it came out even worse than this one.:)

Oh, now that's awesome. "They're just tryn' to sell soda!" hehe. Did you go in? I didn't realize it was a real town!

They weren't open, but I've been there before. I've had Pizza at the Pizza place also. All the town shots were shot on State Street in Newtown, PA. My company has a facility there that I have to go to sometimes.

Now, when they were actualy in the Book Store, when he buys the ALien Book... was that a set or the actual store?

That's the store. It looks like they just set up cameras and shot. I guess that's part of how he makes things look so realistic.

the only thing they did to the street was put up different signs outside

That's interesting, because I remember the scene in which Mel Gibson is standing right beneath a sign for "Newtown Jewelers". I went to the Jewelers to see if I could get a shot of the sign, but the sign wasn't hanging up. It was displayed in the window.

To me, Shyamalan is right up there with Spielberg. This is the FIRST TIME EVER an American movie portrayed Brazil correctly. :sohappy: People were speaking PORTUGUESE, for crying out loud, that's awesome! I can't wait for the DVD, I'm curious to know how they created the signs, and if they shot those party scenes here in Brazil.
