I'm so glad it is good. I couldn't wait to see it, but the last movie I couldn't wait to see was Moulin Rouge and I was really disappointed. I guess I'll be going by myself though, I doubt if my family wants to see it since it's a scary movie. I LOVE Scary movies :)

Even though it scares the bejebus out of you I wouldn't call it a scary movie. I'd call it a suspensfull movie...very Hitchcock the way they make you wait and wait and wait before something happens and nothing is ever what it seems. :D

Just Personal Taste. I don't know I just didn't like it :( I and LOVE musicals. All the previews made me think I would love it. I'm glad you liked it. I posted earlier about one of my fav. movies (the others) that none, and I mean NONE of my friends like So maybe I just have weird taste:confused:

I think suspense filled movies are the scariest. Movies like Scream and Nightmare on Elm Street aren't that scary to me, but something like "the 6th Sense" I just get chills. I should go see "Signs" today. I'm at home for the weekend alone  I was supposed to go with my dh and dd but because of certain things I couldn't go. So I've been in a gloomy mood. I should get out and do something fun.

Goofette,

If you haven't already by the time you've read this post, you've got to see it. The more I think about it, the more I think this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. I'm not a big fan of "scary" movies mostly because I've never really seen one that scared me. There were moments in this movie that were so scary-fun, that I'm starting to realize the attraction.

On a side note, I saw Moulin Rouge on a plane from Australia. I was trying to sleep, but I couldn't so I kept watching the movie off and on without really knowing what was going on and it was one of the most annoying experiences of my life (as much the fault fo the flight as the movie). On a side, side note that flight was supposed to land in LA for a connection around 12:00 eastern time September 11. We were the only plane allowed in the airport (I guess we didn't have enough fuel to go to Canada) and ended up in a complete mess of Police, FBI agents ATF agents etc. I can't even think about Moulin Rouge now without having all those other images jammed into my brain.

Back on topic: Go see "Signs" you'll love it. :sohappy:

The director of Signs, M. Night? also directed the Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. Both of which I loved. I think for you to have liked Unbreakable you have to be a major geek like me lol. :D

But if you liked either of those you will love Signs.

BTW in the future don't put titles like Scream next to Nightmare on Elm Street. I don't know what Wes Craven was thinking when he made the Scream movies. ;)

:D I couldn't think of a Scary movie (Slasher movie) those were the only two that were coming to mind. Well, one came to mind that I have to ask if you've seen. Did you see the Spoof "Scary Movie"? That was so gross, but certain parts I laughed so hard at, it was so stupid.

If I see "Signs" today, am I going to be scared tonight? (I'll be home alone again) I live in the Country and get pretty spooked when I'm by myself. Is it one of those movies that I'll keep thinking about. Like I said, 6th sense scared the woo woo out of me and I KEPT thinking about it :lookaroun But I Loved it :animwink:

If you've got an active imagination, you probably better wait until you've got someone to latch onto. It's hard for me to judge because, while I liked the Sixth Sense, it didn't really scare me. This movie scared me, and I can't think of any other movie I've ever seen that I can say that about.

Since it is set in a large house in the country, you might want to wait.:)

I'm positive you won't sleep tight if you're alone lol.

My friend and I are 18 and like I said the move terrified us...we were hessitant to get out of the car when we pulled up to his house. He lives in the boonies...just woods for miles around and his parent swere out of town. So we sat down and watched Resident Evil to calm our selves down.

BTW Resident Evil is a sweet movie. That was my first time seeing it...if you liked the game you definately need to watch it. If you've never played any of the games I'm sure you would be lost lol.

Well IMO it wasn't a horror movie. It was a video game movie lol. I just loved how you're thrown right into the action...screw the plot, setting ect and get right to the climax....which is Residents Evils case the entire movie. :D

I saw Signs yesterday...And I was actually scared in the *SPOILER, I think* little kids birthday party scene. Then they showed it again, and I was like Oooh man, lol.

I like M. Night Shyamalan's (I think that's it, lol) work. The Sixth Sense was one of my favorites when it came out...And I like Unbreakable, even though I don't consider myself a "major geek"

And yeah! It was really funny watching Graham be insane and swear and stuff. "I cussed." "I heard" lol (I think that's what they said)

Is it just be, or did Rory Culkin (who played Morgan) look soo much like Mucaly Culkin (I know I spelled that wrong but whatever)???

Good

I'm glad someone started a thread for signs. I keep hearing from critics and radio DJs that the movie was great but then the ending bombed, ruining the whole movie. Without giving any of the movie away , did any of you guys think the same? I haven't seen the movie yet and I need a "public eye" view of the movie. Thanks!

The ending was fine...most people didn't expect it.

I thought the ending worked perfectly. My only complaint would be I wasn't ready to go by the time the credits started rolling. The thing was so entertaining I wanted more.

I knew exactly what would happen in the ending, I thought it was easy to predict.

I didn't really think it was supposed to be a big shock or surprise. I thought the director was leading the audience toward the end so that they would be a few steps ahead of the characters and rooting for them to figure it out. I sort of thought that was built in to fuel the anticipation, but I can't say much more without ruining it for the people who haven't seen it yet.

That's exactly how I saw it. Everything just tied in together, and made for the ending of the film. Well, everybody will notice once they watch the film.
