Wow...I agree Spidey...we really DID find a gem of an idea!
Hmmm...now to get an Imagineer to read this....

I like the idea of having the vampire bar! That would ROCK!!!
I was thinking something along the lines of the "Thriller" video on the main stage too...where the performers could actually get down onto the "street" and do the dance down the street...(like in the video)

(Who has the rights to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Nightmare of Elm Street, Friday the 13th, and the Exorcist?)

Because I think one of the rooms of the Haunted Houses should be set up like the house in TCMassacre with all the animal bones and the hooks and stuff...(and that NASTY sounding sliding metal door....)...And...Friday the 13th takes place on a lake...and...this IS an Island afterall...so there IS water around :)

Nightmare on Elm Street is Newline

Jason Vorhees is Newline

Friday the 13th title and past movies is Paramount (Hence the names Jason goes to Hell and Jason X from Newline)

Don't know on the other two though.

And NewLine is AOL-TimeWarrner so I don't think they will be lilkey to deal, unless we somehow fit CNN into the whole deal, lol

That is why I went with all Dimension Films and one Miramax(Signs), since Disney owns Dimension it would be no problem to build this in reality at all.

Exactly, as in my reference at the top of page two also, those are all potential real characters Disney couold use.

:D Oh.. the possibilities, and I forgot about Fulton's Crab House, could be themed well.

Could be themed like a murder mystery dinner show.

"Once, long ago, on the Mississippi River, this very boat was paddlin' down. 'Twas a quiet night. The fireflies were out and the guests upon the ship were enjoying themselves at the leisurely party hosted by the famously wealthy proprieters of the bank business at St. Louis. Then, one of the guests retreated upstairs to the cabin. He was never found again.

150 years after that experience, we welcome you as our guests aboard this lovely steamship. Enjoy your meal, and do stay out of trouble, please? ...

The lights go out - it is pitch black. The lights return, but our host is nowhere to be seen. Is this an act of the supernatural? Or have robbers boarded this doomed, dreary ship in their never-ending quest for riches?

If Disney doesn't get a clue from this great converstion, then I say we few visionaries group up next year and change PI ourself... of course I'm sure our meger attempts will not even come close, but I sure think it's a great idea.

It's funny, I was saying that they needed to do this to PI when I went down for HHN...Talk about a BIG competitor...granted, the rides and attractions aren't there...but...it would still be extremely fun and easily accessible to the thousands that stay ON Disney property and don't like to leave

Plus you don't risk ruining the atmosphere of the other parks. Universal has always appealed to a more adult audience first, so it doesn't phase their parks, but for Disney, they must be careful.

and ya know something...I don't know how they do it...but the crew for HHN this year (I can only say from experience THIS year because it was my first time)...The park didn't really look different during the day...(with the exception of the guy hanging and the electric chair in Port of Entry)

Where's the Magic........

People might as well do Universal Studios....

But most of all... PI is here to stay.......:king:

If you change it the way you want, what about the revenues, do you have any idea how much PI is making annual? :hurl:

People would go to City Walk for their nightlife pleasure and entertainment, and spend their money overthere, try to keep them on the resort..... Don't let them go... that's the trick...

And people leaving the resorts.... we can't have that, Can we....

Nevertheless it's still a good concept, but not for replacing PI...

Put it on paper and blue print and send it to USF...
It's really their game... not for the WDC :p

And sorry if I'm taking it to seriously...:sohappy:

To start the Magic is everywhere, it may not be completly appearnt from the descriptions but all of the venue would be done with the same quality as any Disney theme park attraction, with emmersive themeing, cohesive storylines and mindbogling special effects, the Magic is most certaintly there it is just wearing a Halloween costume ;)

About the revenues if you would care to notcie the entertainment, dinning and shoping are all still there, the dinning and shopping have been given a bit of a Halloween flair and the entertaintment has convereted from dancing to haunted houses in some places (Flutons and tow shops have converted over aswell, but on the whole shopping and dinning are pretty much untouched) which if this is seen as too much as a problem one or tow of the venues could keep it's theme but stay dance clubs, overall the revenues would be the same but possibly acutally increase due to comodity value theory.

I am confused to why you think people would leave the resort the idea is that we are putting this here to keep people from leaving WDW for UHHN, by offering them a equally scary but less gory and more magical Halloween expereince.

I agree... I'm not following their logic, maybe it was too much to take in at once. The idea was to increase people as figment Dream said. Some of the Nightclubs would just be rethemed anyway, no loss.

Signs is made by Disney, so no problems there.

I just don't see what you are meaning, maybe you missed some of our information in the posts, no biggie.:veryconfu

*scratches head*

Huh?

I'm sure that nights during HHN are very empty at PI...
This "experience" would keep people from going to HHN (on the most part)

Man, I'm kicking myself for have missing this thread from the beginning. You had a great idea, Freak, and everybody complemented it just wonderfully. You guys got it right, the key idea here is scary but not gory, so that Disney can still be identified as Disney, but STRESSING the fact that it's 16+, and sending the kids to MK.

It's too bad Disney doesn't accept ideas from outside parties... That Society of Junior Imagineers has any connection to them or is it just made up? Cause they could be a link between this and the big$hot$.

Well, I agree that there have been some great ideas that have come out of this thread and it's too bad that now that we've let it out of the bag, it will probably never happen... :( Ok, how about this...just one of us become an imagineer...that's not so tough
