I had an interesing illness while I was there. When we got there I came down with cold symptoms. Runny nose, sneezing, the works. However, I noticed that they were spraying (for bugs i guessed) outside our room in the garden area. Which it did enter my mind that this could be what was causing my sniffles. Nevetheless, I grabbed some cold meds and had a good time. My symmptoms never did go away UNTIL I got home and they were gone.

I hope you feel better soon. It really stinks to be ill in Disney. Back on our trip in Feb 2009 I woke up the second day there with a horrible sore throat and swollen glands. Had to go to the hotel shop and get some cepacol lozenges and some cold meds. Like everyone else has said keep drinking that water and I hope you feel better soon! :)
That same thing happened to me in 2010. The second day I got the killer sore throat and swollen glands. I made it through the day at EPCOT and rode gentle rides like The Land, Universe of Energy and repeatedly the ride in the giant golf ball. By day 3 we were on our way home.

My fiancé had what we were told by various doctors was a virus prior to our last trip.. He had a bad cough (during the night) and what seemed like a nasty stomach virus.. We went on the trip, his first, but he still had all the symptoms.. Nothing got better. He was in the bathroom after every meal, had a minimal apetitie and wasn't able to get a great sleep due to coughing.. He was a trooper and made the best out of the trip.. After 2 months, various tests, loosing 50 pounds we figured out he had a virus that was attacking his thyroid. Everything is back to normal now, hoping we are both healthy for our next trip!

It's about 1pm.... Since you are'nt online describing more ill feelings, I'm hoping that's a good sign, that all is well and you got up early feeling better, and are up and about, out enjoying the parks with DH, making up for lost time.

Hey all! Thanks for checking up on me! I'm feeling better than yesterday, but I'm definitely not at 100% yet. We're at MK and we've been sticking to the slow rides all morning. Unfortunately my appetite is not there. I'm about to have a bowl of soup at BOG for lunch. We have dinner ADRs at Chefs de France, so I'm hoping I can eat there. Oh, and the dessert party is tonight too. Disney is just not as fun without an appetite!

I have been sick at disney and it was awful. I had a sinus infection and though i was well enough to fly and well it turns out i wasent well enough at all. I ended up having to call the Doctors which I believe was called docks at the time and had to get an antibitoic because the infection had traveled into my ears and had caused ear and nose bleeds, and this whole time my ears never "popped' after we landed. It was awful. But thankfully it was a 9 day trip so I was still able to enjoy most of the vacation.
Hope your feeling better :)

For EVERY WDW trip we've taken, someone in our travel party either gets sick before or during the trip! The most unpleasant and vivid one was in Dec. 2008 when my oldest DD picked up some 24 hr. stomach virus (the one time I did not sanitize her little hands after a ride)...there was a domino effect in our 2-bedroom villa during the next couple of days! I ended up with the virus mid-flight home and stayed ill the longest! Came home and read somewhere that the Norwalk virus was rearing its ugly head in WDW, which was the virus we all shared! That was a bizarre experience and lessons were learned.

Stick to flat ginger ale or peppermint tea, in addition to your water and Gatorade. Avoid carbonated drinks, caffeine, and alcohol at least until tomorrow while your tummy adjusts. Also, try some yogurt to re-establish some healthy cultures in your stomach. As for your dessert party, bring in your own bottled water and an empty container to bring home "leftovers."

I hope you feel better soon and that your DH stays healthy!!

I usually count on catching a cold by the last two or three days of my WDW vacation. Not fun! This year I loaded up on vitamin c and was just fine though.

Hope you fell better!

Hope you feel better.

In 2007, my wife got sick. Spent the next 2 days sleeping with a fever in the room while I took our son to the parks. We also noticed that she had a bump and what looked to us as some kind of bug bite on our last day. We thought she would be OK driving home and seeing the doctor here. By the time we got home, the bump had swollen to the size of an orange. We dropped the son off with family and went straight to the ER. Turns out she had a staph infection, and was only able to come home after 8 days in the hospital and 4 surgeries later. Not a fun time, but definitely a memorable one.

I came down with severe pain in my right elbow and was having bad spasms. Ended up going to the ER. They gave me strong pain killers. When I took the pain killers it made me very sick to my stomach had to go back to the ER for other pain meds. The pain was caused from lifting a heavy suitcase! Hope you are much better very soon!

LOL But try to drink as much water, carbonated drinks as you can... flush that bad puppy out!!
Sounds like me! I pack a "medicine cabinet" bag too.
