Shredding the Gnar with Magic Friends

You know, the first time I had to do my own taxes, I did them by hand (on April 15 :lookaroun) The next few years I still did them by myself, but used TurboTax. Last year I tried. I really did. But I ended up clueless :brick: so we had a CPA friend do it. (Of course, when I started, I was single, not paying any intrerest at the time--student loan payments hadn't kicked in--and had one job.)

This year I'm not even trying to figure it out on my own, and I feel like an idiot. I don't think I understand half of the things we're going to go over with our tax friend tonight. Why do these things have to be so difficult?!
I don't know. I used Turbo Tax for the first time this year...and you're right, it is quite confusing...what's a deduction, what's not...why can't they make everything super clear?

We'll sing the Butler war song,
We'll give a fighting cry;
We'll fight the Butler battle--
Bulldogs ever do or die!

Morning!

Was just reading the latest on the WDW and Harry Potter thread - seriously :hammer:.....people, there is room for BOTH theme parks in Orlando. I don't really care who is building what in reaction to whom (did I even make sense with that? :lookaroun). Universal's getting our business this year, and WDW is getting a day. But we've given WDW three other exclusive vacays, so we're excited about something new. And I'm really looking forward to NOT having to hit the ground running to see everything (except for the initial rush to see HP on our first day).

I do not believe this is happening. :brick::brick::brick:

Just checked the church camp web page. Abby's week of church camp is not the week before we leave for Universal - it's the week OF.:cry::cry: She's is going to flip when I tell her this. Mike said something about checking to see if he could switch his vacation weeks, but there's no guarantee of that one. Either he gets it switched, or she misses camp. Really not happy right now.

Good morning

Jenny- I hope you go that week but I also hope he can change it for Abby's sake.

Now I have some questions.

Is the dining plan worth it?
Then I need some advise on these places

Polynesian Luau Dinner Show
50's Prime Time Cafe Lunch
Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusher House
Yak and Yeti

Those are some of the places we would like to eat. We have others choosen but we have been to those places.

Should be making reservations tonight for the Poly.:sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

If you guys like sit-down meals, the dining plan's worth it. All your girls would be considered adults on the plan, so that gives them more options ( I personally hate the kids' menus at WDW, because they are so limited).
Of the meals you mentioned, we've only eaten at 50s Prime Time - we liked it. It really depends on how much your server is into his/her role. But I have heard the food quality there has slipped....you might want to ask your questions over on the Restaurant & Dining sub-forum.

I forgot to add: you're staying at the Poly instead of the Contemporary?

The Poly is almost $800 cheaper. The only room at the Contemporary is in the Atrium area.

Really like 50s. Best fried chicken. Have heard great things about Tusker House. The Luau, my podcast co-host really likes it. And Yak and Yeti...I don't hear much about.

Ours also. My dream was the Contempary. Bob's is the Poly. The girls all of it.
I bet you'll fall in love with the Poly like I did the last few trips. Make sure to sit out on the beach in the hammocks. It's so perfect. Oh and try Captain Cook's! They have a delish Adult Grilled Cheese sandwich! It's amazing!
