mmm...that's never good. :( I'm surprised you didn't get the sushi!

Well... we did. That was our appetizer, and honestly it wasn't all that good either.

Um... I've been working a lot, as has DH, since we're still without a pastor.

There's some other stuff that's new too... :lookaroun I guess I have to spill the beans sooner or later, and since you asked... We're in the process of adopting. :D

Huzzah!! yay for you guys! Domestic or Intl? How far along? Agency or non-agency?

Congrats! :sohappy:

Seeing and hearing people say that last part means so much to me. :o
International, about 2.5 months into it (though, it could take quite some time), agency. I don't want to get into too much on this public forum, so I'll stay kinda vague on here if that's okay. But I have a private blog you guys are more than happy to read. Just PM me your e-mail address and I'll send an invite once I get on there again.

I can't believe I just posted the news... :lookaroun. We're slowly telling people, but to be honest, not many know. Maybe about 30 people.

Thanks guys. :D We've been so blessed. Some people struggle for years with some of the stuff we faced last year. Thankfully, we were only in that situation a few months before we realized how we're meant to start our family and immediately changed gears and got even MORE excited! (Type "A" personality me, has researched adoption like crazy since about April of last year.)

what country? I know they can take a looong time, but the waits are worth it!

Thanks! Yeah... we're unbelievably excited about it. God has really changed our hearts on some things. I don't know how it happened, but we're so much more excited about this than we ever were before!

You have every reason to be excited!

I'm sure the wait (and the money :dazzle:) will be worth it!

Russia. We wanted a country that does a good amount of adoptions with the US. We're not old enough to adopt from China, and Guatemala--which was really popular--is now closed. There are others which are really increasing in numbers recently, but we felt "right" with Russia.

So...we haven't 'officially' opened for sales yet, but we've sold around $300 in books :lookaroun Our sales begin tomorrow.
Oh, and our PTG pres passed me and my co-chair a message...that she was reminded that we are 'guests/visitors' and that teachers need to feel welcome to get into the publishing room if they need to do during the day (that's the hallway the book fair is in), which apparently someone doesn't. Since I don't go out of my way to be rude to the staff, and I know my volunteers don't either, I have NO IDEA where that garbage is coming from. I suspect one individual, and if it is in fact her, she needs to pull the stick out of her backside....just sayin'....:animwink:

Awesome!! you could end up with a little "Anastasia" of your own!

Are you going to specify boy or girl, or leave it up to fate?

Sorry... so many questions! Lemme know if you want me to shut up! :zipit:

No, no. These are all good, general questions. :) (Though the blog answers them all and more) I'm not sure how much we will specify when it comes to gender. There are many more boys up for international adoption in Russia than girls. And we'd rather not wait too long (more than a year and a half).

Yes, well....we're just 'guests/visitors' you know...we need to be respectful after all....stay out of their way....do their laminating.....buy books for their school...oh, and pay our property taxes so they can keep their job....no biggie....
*sarcasm over* :p
