Should Indy go in Adventureland or MGM?

How will a mine cart coaster be similar to Revenge of The Mummy? Last I recall tha theme of that ride was they were shooting in Imhotep's Tomb and we're extras. Not a mine.

Basically the coaster vehicles have mine-like themeing on them and the ride goes through a very Indy-esque temple excavation site.

Indy is similar to Dinosaur though. So it won't be considered a big ticket thrill because it is like Dinosaur right?

I have to say this again: Aside from same track layout and ride vehicles Indy and Dinosaur are COMPLETELY different ride experiences. And Indy would still be considered an E ticket despite dinosaur.

BTW, I completely disagree with putting Indy at AK. That would only alienate the AK theme since Indy has barely anything to do with animals or conservation.

There is absolutely no question about where and what should be built:

Adventureland

INDIANA JONES and the LOST EXPEDITION

If Indiana Jones has a land, it must be Adventure. Thematically could not get anymore perfect. Hollywood Studios already has two advanced, modern E-tickets, soon to be three. The Magic Kingdom has not had an E-ticket of any variety since Splash Mountain twenty years ago, and certainly none of the caliber each other park has. The choice is obvious: the Indiana Jones Adventure belongs in Adventureland.

No. This won't be happening as it was spefically designed for DLR, held 3 attractions ( Jungle Cruise, Mine Cart Coaster, and Indy Itself ), and is very expensive and TDO doesn't like expensive things, and is why TDA chose Splash instead of this.

Is there even room in WDW's AL for this? This is how it looked in DLR

Location is immaterial, especially as I have more chance of becoming pope than it actually being built.

Pope Pumbas Nakasak III....kinda got a nice ring to it.

A little alliteration. It kinda bring the Popedom down to the everyday man. The media should eat it up.

Have to agree with his post, this is all speculation and arm chair imagineering from this point on. The chances of this happening are the same as Kitchen Kabaret and Food Rocks making a glorified return back into Epcot.

Oh sure...but read the OP and how many "ifs" were put into it. It was all about discussion.

But you have to admit that Pope Pumbas Nakasak III does have a nice ring (pun intentional)!

Yes, I know it's not going to happen. I just believe that if TDO were the way they should be, it'd be a smart thing for them to consider. As for it being designed for Disneyland, that is certainly no deterrent. It could easily be ever-so-slightly rearranged to fit our Adventurelands layout, especially retaining the Jungle Cruise and Railroad passing through inside. And I'm reasonably sure that there is plenty of space for it.

Pumbas has some of the greatest humor ive read on a message board. I am expecting another Beastly Kingdom or WRE thread to pop up one of these days. You no sad days are ahead of us when every thread repeats itself with arm chair imagineering proposals.

At least it keeps OUR creativity alive. Perhaps it rub off onto the right people.

I agree with some of you. Replace the stunt show with coaster at the studios.

Although I really think Adventureland needs a major overhaul. When we go, it's the land we don't spend much time in.

When news is slow we need something to speculate and complain about. WRE and BK are good choices.

There is plenty of expansion space in an area southwest of AL outside the berm, the only minor problem is the access, it would be a quite narrow path between PotC and the Jungle Cruise. This area was rumored to be the location of Fire Mountain.

That is a silly objection. The Indy movies take place in all the different exotic lands represented in AK, and such a strict adherence to such a narrow theme as animals and conservation is too constrictive to creativity and fun.

Besides the ride could easily be incorporated with some great animal expediences. It could include a snake habitat, as I stated before, or a collection of the scarier animals from the Indy movies--spiders, scorpions, and bats--giving guests to see those things up close.

Besides many of the attractions don't strictly fit the theme. Nemo, other than the characters being fish, has nothing to do with conservation and the themes are clearly human concerns not animal. Dinosaur! barely fits your narrow theme. E:E is about an animal that doesn't even exist, with something of a secondary story about him protecting the mountain from development. Kali River Rapids takes place in a natural environment, as would and Indy ride, but that's it for the theme. Triceratops Spin and Primeval Whirl just have dinos incorporated into carnival rides, they aren't really about conservation.

A well done Indy ride would fit the AK theme as much as any of those attractions.
