Should I get my first fastpass of the day for Soarin or MS?

What would you do? Go get a fastpass for Soarin and then ride MS (green side) standby......or get a fastpass for MS and then go ride Soarin stand by?

I guess what I really need to know is which of these two rides has a longer standby line 30-45 minutes after park opening?

You should definitely get the fastpass for Soarin'.
Soarin' fills up very quickly. In fact, it is the ride that a lot of the visitors go to when the park opens. :)

Soarin'

Hi - do what I did - scoot over to Soarin' at the Park opening, ride it, get a FastPass to come back on Soarin', then go to Mission:Space and ride that. The lines for either side of Space are not that bad first thing in the morning. Once off Space, time to go do Soarin' again! And if you are early, Living with the Land is always a welcome break!

At park open, bee-line to Soarin', get an FP and then ride right away! They post redonkulous wait times first thing in the morning that don't mean anything [how can they measure a 70-minute wait time if the park opened half an hour ago? :p]. Then go over and ride MS Green, the wait is rarely longer than 20. And you'll be able to use the Soarin' FP after MS. :sohappy:

DS13 and I have ridden Soarin' three times within the first hour after park open, so don't give too much credence to the posted wait.

I agree 100% Soarin.

When we were there in December, it was the ONLY ride that we had to wait in line for more than 5 minutes. It was about a 30 minute wait, which isn't much for Soarin' from what I understand.
Most of the rest of the rides were a walk on or less than 5 minute wait.

Soarin', no question. Get your fastpass as soon as the park opens, and then immediately hop on the standby line. After you're done, it should be time for you to use your fastpass. You'll get to experience the attraction twice in a row without any down time!

I'll echo the sentiments...Soarin...100%.

The waits for M:S are never all that horrible...usually 30-45 min at the most...however, the wait times at Soarin...always so high...that Fastpass is definitely your friend on that attraction.

I didn't know this was even an option  If anything it should be a choice between Soarin and Test Track, but even then it's Soarin all the way.
We rode the green version of M:S several times in a row with little wait during Spring Break, but rode Soarin only once the whole trip.

Thanks everyone!

I figured Soarin would be the answer, but I wanted to double check because I've never been interested in going on MS in the past so I've never paid attention to the wait times for it. We've always just done Soarin first thing.

And we do not do Test Track, so that is why Soarin and MS were my two choices.

Thanks!

SOARIN! We were there in May and the Soarin FP were gone by 11:00 and MS had a 15 minute wait. If you are the type that goes to the parks early, you can always get a FP, hop SOARIN if there is no line and then go over to MS. You can use the FP later because that ride is so great you will want to go on again.
