Oh, I want to play the name game too!

My sister is naming my nephew Tate Hunter. Very masculine.

I like:

Rigel (the name of a star in Orion... I know, weird)
Derek
Caleb
Any other name in the Old Testament, really.

I like that name....Tate.

yeppers, I looked at Bible names first...Abigail Grace (because it was by the grace of God we were able to conceive), and Joel Michael...that got around naming him a junior but still having DH's name.

I was reading this book when I was looking for names, and found that a LOT of the old fashioned names are coming back. Sophia, Isabellla etc... but not many of the boys names are coming back. I think Walter and Edgar are dead forever. :lol:

I don't know why, but I really like a lot of the old Biblical names. Like, the hardcore Jewish names, which is weird since I'm not Jewish in the least :lol:

I liked Biblical names... Marc not so much. Plus we had a LOT of them already taken by members of the family, so all we were left with was things like Bathsheba :lookaroun

I agree the old fashiony ones are coming back for girls. We were thinking of Ruby if it was a girl (it was my great-grandma's name)...Ruby Jo. Ruby is quite old-fashioned but is really making a comeback.
I'm finding that alot of the more popular names now are common last names. I really like it, some of them are some of my favorites. I wonder if that stems from the trend of mom's using their maiden last name as a first name & some catching on and others not.

The name DH likes (Asher) is Hebrew/Jewish I think.
