Hey Dot.

Not everyone thinks that way though. So how is it some people do?:(

Well, like the kids in that room that day...
If you were brought up hearing that sort of thing...and you lived in a world where that kind of disrespect was the norm...chances are you're going to grow up with that mindset as well.

So close to me.

Two of the 7 officers killed (6 of those were within the past 16 months) 2 were killed in the neighborhood I grew up in (and in which both my daughters live) and one of the officers lived in that same neighborhood.

Ugh...too close to home. What is wrong with the world today???? That story you told about the moms - who feels that way? !!!

It is sooo sad. Trying to bring up kids that are good and kind in this world...
I don't trust my neighbors much. They all seem to be good people but just one wrong move and they seem to blow up at you.

People who feel that the world owes them. They take and take and give nothing back. They are leeches. Worse, they are monsters. And they are everywhere.

I know I have a sone like that. But we didn't teach him to be that way. He does try to work his job but his job is the pits.

Oh Susie, I don't think he's really like that, is he?
He does work. Hopefully he'll get more motivated.
Some people take an awfully long time to grow up.

I hate the entitlement mentality. And it's about to get worse, thanks to that spending bill (uh oh...she's getting political...:lookaroun)

Suse, you do the best you can with them but once they are adults they have to take responsibility for themselves.

He isn't like that all the time but he thinks the world owes him alot. He doesn't mind working if he gets the pay he thinks is owed him.
:dazzle:

He thinks he should get a lot more than min. pay for his job.
He is a dishwasher at a fast food place.

I feel the same but what can I do. I want more also. :lookaroun

I know and that is what we tell him.
But mom and dad don't know anything. :hammer:

On a happy note, I got Em's Cognitive Abilities Test Results for Grade 1. She did well - for age she tested in the 88th per centile, and for grade the 96th. (those numbers are the average of three different types of test). So overall her "profile" is an 8 out of a possible 9.

Hi Vince, BTW. Em says next time I see you I'm supposed to ask if you know the Cheetah Girls.

Hush, little Amy.
No politics. :D

So true.
Within the same culture that produces the monsters we're speaking of, are good decent people that somehow make it through to the other side. There's just no telling...
