Shookie Hates Walt Disney World

Only because I'm not there.

So I did the PTR - I did the LTR - Now it's time for the ROTR (Regular Old Trip Report)
Lots of awesome trip reports around here many from the same time I was there so I will
try to keep this sweet and to the point without too much babble.....(that's going to be hard for me).

CM made us some sweet birthday pins and for some reason an anniversary pin......she did such a good job I didn't have the heart to tell her...Our room was ready.

I totally agree with you about CBR....been there over that. I went there a few times when I was forced to by my mean, punishing parents who refused to take us back to the Polynesian, citing something stupid about the cost.

I'll tell you, we go in September every year and I have never seen as much rain (even close) as we did this year. Obscene amounts of rain. It poured for every MNSSHP.

You have an awesome family and it looks like you all had a great time. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Oh, your food pictures rocked!

Yeah the CBR...man o' man. Never again. Your parents sound sooo mean LOL....We're those parents right now to my son since we REFUSE to stay at the Contemporary because it's ONLY 2,000 dollars more than a moderate... Speaking of my son thanks for the compliment, I agree - great smile good thing he takes after his mom!

I'm glad to hear about September as it looks like we're back again at that time next year.

Ok so here are the purchases we made. Way beyond anything we've ever spent on souvenirs.
As I mentioned before we've gone to the World many times but aside from some awesome T-shirts we've had nothing to show for it.
We set aside some extra coin to make up for the lost time.

This one was just for me. I drink coffee everyday at work ---might as well have something awesome from which to consume it:

I'm not sure what these things are called, but my wife loved them. We've got a little dish we display them in:

This bad boy set us a back a couple o' coins but our friends had one with Sorcerer Mickey, and we stare at it every time we go over there. We love the way it lights up with fireworks and it actually throws a shadow of the "partners" statue.

These are headed for our family rec room once we finish it, but they'll hang in our dining room for now (finally had enough money for the frames, so I set them up tonight) LOVE THESE:

That about wraps it up. It may not seem like much, but for any of us that have shopped at the World, we know that these few "trinkets" can put a dent in your wallet.
Like I said - we don't normally splurge, so this year we made up for the last 7 years. It was worth it and we look at least one of these souvenirs once a day and remember our favorite place in the world.

Great purchases! I know I always wish I'd won the lotto whenever I step into Art of Disney, it's tough to have to leave all that gorgeous stuff behind.

I totally love that coffee mug--took a photo of it back in May when I was travelling solo and sent it to my hubby, and we FORGOT to get it for him in October!! Argh.

Those pillboxes are way cool. I never saw those.
