Ok, forgive me if there's already a post out there for this - but I haven't seen one in the recent posts section...

Have you been granted one of the million dreams? Have you seen someone get one? I'm so pumped for my trip that I want to hear more about YOMD!

Let's compile our stories here. (Hopefully after May I'll have one to share!)

My girlfriend and I got picked to get front row seats at Star Tours. Not a big deal, but they picked us out of the line.

However, we saw 2 different families get Dream Fastpasses. 1 was at Animal Kingdom....mom, dad, boy, girl, and a gray-haired grandma.

The other was at Magical Kingdom...mom, dad, boy, and gray-haired grandma.

Athird was also at Animal Kingdom, but we didn't know what they were getting. All we know is the 17-ish year old girl was complaining to her brother, or boyfriend, "I hope we aren't missing anything good for this." It was her, 2 boys, and mom and dad. It was pathetic, because it was as everyone was exiting Its a Bugs Life. We were stuck waiting for 30 minutes until the CM's let us know the ride was broke. Pretty damn humid at the bottom of that tree.

My husband got a Dream Fastpass in EPCOT.
Because the weather was bad that day, he didn't need to use a fastpass to get on anything, though. Figures! But because he didn't use it, he brought the fastpass home intact, to keep as a souvenir. A nice remembrance of a special year!

This wasn't a real "dream," but my friend and I were going up to the 40-minute stand by line for Everest, not really wanting to because my boyfriend didn't want to ride and would be waiting outside by himself for close to an hour and we felt bad.
Well we got to the CM at the gate, an older man that looked rather like a statue, who said "And do you have your fastpasses with you?"
We paused and looked at him and were about to say "No, we were going to the standby line" when he said "That is because they are right here, good for this time." and he whipped two FPs out of his pocket.

We walked onto Everest. You should have seen the shock on my boyfriend's face when we came jogging out 10 minutes later :D It was definitely dreamy enough for us.

We were there in January for 7 days and got 3 dreams!

1. Dream Fastpasses, while getting on WDW railroad from Toontown.
2. My 3yr old daughter was granted a wish from the Blue Fairy while we were eating at Pinnochio's in Fantasyland.
3. A dream "cupcake" at Pizzafari at Animal Kingdom. The cupcake was huge and very yummy!

btw, my daughter wished to meet Ariel, and 2 days later, SHE DID!!! (via character dining in Norway, mind you, but I'd like to think the Blue Fairy had something to do with it)

 We were at Epcot and about 9:15 in the morning we headed to JIY. we figured no one would be there. when we got there, the doors opened and there were about 5 people there and they handed us and 3 other people behind us dream fastpasses for Epcot for the day. All the big rides. That was pretty cool. It made my day. :sohappy:

I've been there, hrm.... maybe a dozen times or so since October and I haven't won a thing. Nor seen anything handed out. I've seen people wearing Dream FastPasses or Ears but not actual awarding of prizes. I've even seen YOMD CM's meandering around but still, nada here.

Bummer for me.

My wife and I were at WDW a few weeks ago for her birthday on Feb 9th. She wore her birthday button all 3 days even though Friday was her actual birthday. She got a free diet coke (fountain drink) in Animal Kingdom on Wednesday evening - EMH. She got a free cookie when she bought a coffee in Studios on Thursday morning. Then got all kinds of special treatment on Thrusday Evening at Magic Kingdom. PPP is the way to go!!!

Friday, her actual birthday, we started the day at AK to ride the safari, Dinosaur and Everest. There was absolutely no lines and had done all 3 by 11:15am. so we decided to walk on the Jungle Trek. We were crossing one of the bridges when 2 CMs stopped us. They told us there was problem up ahead on the path and we had to wait. We waited a few minutes until there were a dozen people or so standing on the bridge. Then they announced that we were in the right place at the right time. They handed everyone Dream Fast Passes. It was exciting and fun, but kind of a waste. We had already ridden 3 of the FP attractions and Kali was closed for mid-winter refurb. We decided to see Tough 2B a Bug on the way out of the park and they didn't even have fast passes operating. Standby line took us right under the tree and into the theater.

SO...... on the way out gates (heading to EPCOT for the remainder of the day) we handed our passes to 2 other guests. They seemed just as excited as we were. AND they had a chance to actually use them.

I'm not saying that YOMD is a waste, but they need to rethink the value of some of the prizes. Dream fast passes at 11:30am on a day when AK is empty are useless; appreciated, but not really valuable. I would have rather had another cookie or two. It was fun to watch the look on someone else's face when we gave them our passes. Just part of that Disney magic!

Dream Fastpass on a day that was so empty I still have all the tabs.

All the CMs that we saw congratulated us and made us feel special all day. Still cool.

My niece and I got YOMD lanyards with two pins at California Adventure the first weekend in Feb. We were going to see Golden Dreams and a CM walked out with a sign that said 2 minutes to start so we headed in and they were handing them out to everyone coming in at the two minute warning. Very cool.

A couple weeks ago, we were standing outside the Candy / Sweets store at MGM, looking in the window. A CM came out and asked my DD-6 if she would like to make chocolate covered marshmallows. She went in, washed up, put on the hair net and apron, and made three of them for us. They let us take pics and video, and they gave her a certificate! It was wonderful and she loved it!

We won something!

I just had to share this with you WDW magic people, because I knew that you would be excited about it too. We went to WDW this last week, and when we went to MK, we were awarded YOMD fastpasses for the day. Everyone on the carousel got one---we were so excited about it! Then, later that day, as my husband was getting off Space Mountain, the same lady was there to award his car with pin lanyards! He was beside himself about that, because he's a pin freak! Also, I don't know if this counts as YOMD or not, but as I was waiting with my 2 year old while my husband rode Everest, a lady gave me a "Yeti" quiz, and when it was over she gave me a signed certificate for taking it. Needless to say, we had a good trip. My husband felt so lucky after that, he said we needed to go buy a lottery ticket!

My gf and I received some pretty big Blizzard Beach mugs on our way out of the water park a couple of weeks ago.

A few friends of ours were in line at Soarin' when some CMs came up and gave a group of about 20 people Dream Fastpasses.

Favoritism???

From what I could see, the recipients were completely random---my husband and I weren't even together at the time when we received ours. EVERYONE in line received the fastpasses---single or families. As for the lanyard, the YOMD lady was waiting on them at the end of the space mountain ride---no favoritism there.

There seems to be some favoritism toward families...

Oh my word we're not going to start that argument again are we?:)

I have won four ears and two lanyard sets by entering through the mail!

Then three weeks ago we were at California Adventure and all six of us won ears! I was so stinking excited you would have thought we won the lottery!

I had told everyone in our group to watch for the dream team and/or people with prizes. We were waiting for Turtle Talk With Crush when a family came into the animation building with dream ears. I watched the entrance for a minute and when the next group to come in had them on too, we all took off for the entrance. Sure enough they were standing there handing them out!

They were awesome to wear all day. We were congratulated several times that day by cm's. Then my kids were both picked for the Jedi Academy while wearing them. The Master Jedi said "The girl in the red shirt with the silver discs on her head." And then something similar a few minutes later for my son. :sohappy:

We felt incredibly lucky!

In December, while riding the Land, my friend and I won YOMD ears... I think I was more excited than the kids who were on the boat with us... it was awesome

My family went in February and we won something. We won a Year of a Million Dreams lanyard with two special pins. Yeah, they probably give alot of them out, but it was still cool.

I also saw a very nice lady give away three of her dream fastpasses do another family since they were living the Disney Studios. It's great to see that there are nice people like that in the world. (Disney and the world as a whole).:sohappy:

Whenever we decide to leave early for some reason and I have regular fastpasses that I'm not going to use, I always try to give them to people coming into the park. Try being the keyword, as most people are usually apprehensive and don't want them lol
