Whenever we decide to leave early for some reason and I have regular fastpasses that I'm not going to use, I always try to give them to people coming into the park. Try being the keyword, as most people are usually apprehensive and don't want them lol
hey...if we need to worry about tainted dog food, we probably need to worry about tainted Fastpasses, too......

I once gave my Space Mountain fastpasses to a man and his daughter. He didn't understand what they were for and thanked me about 5 times then proceeded to walk right into the regular line. I had to chase after him and sent him into the fastpass line

This isn't something we got but something we did for a family when we were leaving MK on our last day. We had our last ride on SM, got the picture and were leaving thru Liberty Square, my wife had told me we had a few table service left on the DDP, and it's a shame that they would be wasted. So she hands them to me and says find someone to give them too. So after we came over the bridge to the hub in front of the castle, I noticed a family had just had their picture taken, mom, dad, and 3 or 4 daughters. I walked up to the mom and asked if they were on the DDP, she said no, at which point I said here's 13 table service, she said thankyou and I said enjoy. At which point she ran back to her husband and said look what that guy gave us. I just turned around and walked away, like my wife said at least they won't go to waste. We already got our money's worth out of them anyway.

Where do you enter on the Disney website. I always collect pins when I am there (I have over fifty now) and I would like to have the chance of getting a lanyard before I go in August.

You can't enter on the website. You can enter daily by mail. Here's the rules:

Also, starting on September 18, 2006, eligible participants can enter without being present in a Disney Property by writing their full name, complete mailing address (including postal code), daytime telephone number (including area code), and date of birth on a 3.5"x5" postcard and sending it with proper postage affixed to: (i) if a legal resident of the United States, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada or Mexico: P.O. Box 8629, Elmhurst, IL 60126; or (ii) if a legal resident of the United Kingdom: Disney Dream Giveaway, 483 Green Lanes, London N13 4BS. Participants may enter once per day during the Giveaway Period. All mail-in entries must be mailed separately, postmarked by December 31, 2007 and received by January 14, 2008 or they will be void.

All I am going to say is don't go into the parks expecting something because when you expect the unexpected the unexpected doesn't happen.

All these stories are magical and they put a big smile on my face!

Million Dreams Winner

my family and I won dream fastpasses. They stopped us at the exit to the Haunted Mansion tour and gave them to us.
ALSO, in the Animal Kingdom they gave a shout out to us on one of the rides and allowed us two free rides, in addition, we received free passes to the games in the "carnival" area of the park. We also received a plaque with our names. The kids were so excited. It was wonderful!

While at MK a week and a half ago, we got to talking about the YOMD to a CM on our way out of the park. We asked her how they go about giving out the dreams and what was the biggest one she had seen given out. She informed us that a lot of them are just given out according to what seat you are on on a particular ride or what place you are in a certain line at a certain time of the day. She had seen a young boy who was in a particular seat on SplashMountain the week before we got there given the $500 Disney shopping spree (or whatever amount the most is) and said she was very happy for him because it was a miserable day that day and he was one of only a few people riding that ride at that particular time as it was pouring rain or something like that. She said he happened to be sitting in the right seat and it really seemed like it made her day as well as the boys.

While we were there in Feb we won dream Fastpasses at AK while walking the Pangini Forrest trail when we turned the corner and saw the Dream squad in the middle of the path we were so excited!! We had already been on the safari & everest but we didnt hesitate to go back.
And at MK the next day we were there late afternoon and while taking a photo of my family droping pennies in the wishing well next to the Castle a very nice lady stopped and asked if we would be staying in the park awhile (which i found odd) and I said yes and she handed me four dream pastpasses that her family had won that morning. She said she had two young children and only used a couple of the fastpasses. We were very grateful! It was presidents day and the park was packed so we made good use of them.
Also that morning my husband had taken the boys to Epcot where they were the first family at the American Adventure though that was more of a Magical Moment then YOAMD prize they were really excited about that too!

We were there Dec. 22-30 '06. We had 13 in group this day and we all were exiting Indy Speedway and they started handing out the ears, they looked to have a pile of 50, everyone in our group got them and wore them. On the bus ride back to the resort that night one guy wanted to buy two pairs off of us, but no one took him up on his offer.

A second day one of the girls was with grandma and she got a lanyard.
One girl 'traded' for the mystery pin and it was one of the special pins.
finally one of the boys was given the "tink" pin for doing something special.

We go back in August and the kids are anxious to see if they 'win' anything this trip!
