Trip Report "Shake It Off" March 2018 WDW Trip Report

Hello everyone! We just got back from our trip on Saturday and already I'm experiencing Disney Withdrawals :( It always amazes me how quickly a Disney vacation goes by while days at home can drag LOL. I think I went into this trip with my hopes too high because my 2016 was so sad for me. A lot of negative things happened during this trip so I'm going to gloss over them - I don't want to read this trip report in the future and remember the bad. So I'm going to focus only on the positive things that happened. Which is where the trip report title comes from :) Every trip, there seems to be a song that we always hear and it becomes our theme song. Unfortunately, this year it was Taylor Swift's song "Shake It Off." Now, I'm not a Taylor Swift fan AT ALL so I'm somewhat upset at this being our theme song LOL. But it was literally everywhere this trip. Where did my magical Disney music go???? Even though I don't like the song, it was very fitting for the negatives and drama that occurred during the trip. I had a lot of things that I had to "shake off"....

Before I start this trip report, let me start by giving details for those that didn't read my pre trip report:

Who: Me, R (my husband), K (my brother in law), and J (K's wife)
When: March 10 - 17, 2018 (me and R), March 9 - 14, 2018 (K and J)
Discount: Disney Visa Room Discount
Where: Coronado Springs Resort
Why: (1) My redo 2016 trip (2) my 15th anniversary with R (3) R's bday th following week (4) K & J's 20th wedding anniversary (5) K's bday earlier in the month

Originally, we had all planned a cruise for September 2017 which got rescheduled to March 2018. R decided to cancel the cruise so the whole trip became a WDW trip. No complaining here :joyfull: When plans changed, I asked J if she would like to join us at WDW and we could celebrate our anniversaries together. They decided to join us, which worked perfectly since he just got ordered that they will be transferred from CA to Colombia in May. They came early and stayed at Saratoga Springs March 9th before transferred to CSR on the 10th, so they were already enjoying Disney fun, while I was at home doing last minute cleaning. No fair! The Friday before we left was so stressful and all I wanted was to already be at Disney.

Finally, Saturday arrives and we get to the airport only to find out our plane was delayed. This is where our plane was supposed to be...

IMG_20180310_100952.jpg

I started counting the minutes because we had an Ohana dinner reservation at 5pm so I knew it was going to cut it close. We get loaded onto the plane, start moving from the gate, only for the pilot to announce that a plane had broken down on the runway and it would be a little bit longer until we could leave. Nooooo!!!! We left half an hour late (not too bad) and landed on time at MCO. I had all of these plans to take pictures at MCO but I was running late and had no time for pictures. We get into the DME line and only had to wait 15 minutes for a bus. But we were the last stop - our bus went to AKL resorts first. J was there first and had let me know that I got a renovated room in Ranchos 7A but it wasn't ready yet. They had gotten an older room in Ranchos and were trying to switch to 7A as well. We got our room location right as we pulled away from AKL. Great timing! When we walked into CSR lobby, K and J were waiting for us. We had to go to the front desk because I had forgotten our pin number so that had to be reset. And we got a $60 gift card for opting out of housekeeping. Business done, no dawdling allowed, we had to get to our room, drop off our carry ons and change into warm weather clothes. Here are some pictures I took while walking to our room:

IMG_20180310_152125.jpg

IMG_20180310_152246.jpg

K and J walking with us to our room. They had some things they needed to leave in our room since their room wasn't yet ready. Some stranger totally photo bombed us

We loved our room and location! I faxed in our request for a room in 7A and we got a corner room, in the back of the resort, near the bus stop. Score! And we got the construction pins (I'm a big pin collector) so this made me happy :)

IMG_20180310_152710.jpg

It was a short walk to the bus stop, which came in handy later in our trip. We had to catch the bus to MK and get on the monorail to the Polynesian. Luck was on our side and we didn't have a long wait for either the bus or monorail. While we were waiting, I played with my new phone. I dropped in a Stormtrooper lol. About a month before this trip, I had to get a new phone. My old Samsung's battery wouldn't last (conveniently after my contract had ended) and I was mad and bought a Google Pixel 2. I love the phone and camera but I was still learning it on this trip. Which affected my pictures later. My husband didn't want to help me take pictures using my point and shoot camera so most pictures were taken using my camera phone. I didn't get nearly as many great pictures as I was hoping. Not sure if the quality will be good enough to make photo album with Shutterfly yet.

We got to the Poly with half an hour until our reservation time. I was the only planner for this trip so I was worried about making good dining reservations, FP selections, etc to make everyone's trip enjoyable. I was worried that Ohana wouldn't be as good this trip but it turned out to be everyone's favorite meal. It was soooooo good. Even though the waiter never came back to get my drink order - guess I didn't need that whiskey drink after all :)

IMG_20180310_163137.jpg

We ate most of the salad before we remembered to take pictures. We just can't control ourselves when it comes to Ohana. I can't stress again how GOOD this was that day. Everything was on point! Just thinking of this meal makes me want to go back RIGHT NOW and make a total pig of myself....again!!!

received_10216125535791559.jpg

And the bread pudding...OMG it was better than I remembered. So good that K had to get his picture taken with it LOL. And for Ohana fans, I got some sad/shocking news for you. The table next to us didn't even touch their bread pudding before they left. Uneaten bread pudding yall:jawdrop: J wondered if it would've been tacky to take their portion since it was clearly not wanted.

UP NEXT: A walk to Grand Floridian and return to CSR

They really dont. I questioned having lunch there one day, until we did, and it was plenty of food for a lunch. Plus we were destined to get some Pecos bills that night, so i may of been saving room!

Peco Bill's is a place I want to go for our next trip. We didn't have time this trip.

The girls love it, so we try to do it each time! The fajita platter was extra tasty this time around. The remaining items on the fixins bar help round it out. RIP Guacamole.. may your $$$ do something good now.

MAN! Those Sleepy Hollow waffles! I am going to have to try the berries one!!! Here's hoping my DH will split one with me this fall!
Sounds like you're having a great trip so far, way to focus on the positives! The peoplemover is so fun to ride and a great break for resting the feet!
Impressive that you were able to get on Peter Pan with such little wait! I do love the new Queue!

Can't wait to hear about your AK day and how you liked FOP!

Peter Pan is one of the main reasons I love going to MK during early morning hours because there typically isn't much of a wait. I had a FP for it later as it's one of my favorite rides but for the others it's a one and done type of thing so I never did get to go on it a second time. But I got to go through the queue so I really don't have many complaints :)

Monday, March 12 - Animal Kingdom Day

Originally, the park hours were EMH from 8-9am with park opening at 9am. But closer to our trip, they got extended so EMH began at 7am with park opening at 8am. Which meant we had to be at the bus stop at 6am and I had to wake up at 5 :jawdrop: Only in Disney yall!! Will we get to see @prfctlyximprct favorite show, Rivers of Light? Stay tuned :)

We got to the park and the lines were LONG just to get in but the wait wasn't bad. Not the best picture I've ever taken of the tree but I had someplace to be :)

IMG_20180312_064644.jpg

My number one must do this trip was Navi River Journey. I was able to get FP+ for Flights of Passage later in the day and also 2 for R and I on Thursday when it was just going to be us. So rope dropping Navi had to be done!! We made our way there while everyone else was going to FoP and we all just stopped in awe of Pandora glowing in the dark. It was amazing!!!

IMG_20180312_065012.jpg

J and I went crazy with the picture taking as we made our way to Navi. There's no line - this would not be the sight of the standby queue later in the day!

IMG_20180312_065220.jpg

We walked right onto the ride and we got the very first car. R and I were in the front seat and he were silent the entire ride. I couldn't stop myself from taking pictures and neither was J. This ride legit made me cry. As soon as the ride was over, we went back through the queue and got on again :) This time J and K got the front seat. The second time we all had our cameras put away and we just enjoyed it. I know a lot of people complain about this ride but it was one of my favorites.

IMG_20180312_065709.jpg

We got off the second time and made our way outside to explore the rest of Pandora since it was empty.

We explored their gift shop and by the time we finished, it was light outside. This picture is the same as the one above.

received_10216125505550803.jpg

By this time, it was 8am and the park was open to the public and Pandora was starting to get busy. K was craving coffee so off to Starbucks we went. R and I waited outside since we don't drink coffee and the line in there was insanely busy. The Safari wasn't yet open and the line was extending over the bridge. We had FP for it later so it was all good. We wandered around some of the trails around Starbucks, whose line took way too long. Finally, K and J emerged with their prizes and it was off to the nature trails in Asia as we were planning on quick service breakfast at Yak and Yeti when they opened at 9am.

A few more early morning Pandora shots before I move on...

Moving on to the rest of the park :)

IMG_20180312_080743.jpg

We can't do many thrill rides because of motion sickness so we love this park for it's nature trails and focus on animals. We can always find plenty to do. Which may come back to kick us in the behinds later....

By this point, we were hungry so we made our way to breakfast. It wasn't quite 9 but quite a line had formed. I didn't get a picture of what K and J were eating bc K got the same thing I did and J got the kids french toast sticks. R got the bacon and egg sandwich and K and I had the breakfast burrito, which was sooooo good. We all had the hash brown bites. Seriously, 2 people could've shared that breakfast burrito. It was massive.

IMG_20180312_091124.jpg

After eating it was time to move on to Africa trails to wait for our Safari FP window to open. We also did Rafiki's planet watch.

I don't have many pictures of the African nature trails bc it was very crowded and I don't do well in crowded spaces. So I was pretty much moving ahead of the group to try to find a place with a space cushion LOL. By the time they had finished with the nature trail, it was time for the Safari. We did have about a 15 minute wait for this. When we got to the front, we had asked if we could sit in the back row. We all loved that seat bc we could turn and see everything behind us when the driver decided to speed off :)

We rode It's Tough to Be a Bug, which is one of my favorites :)

I wanted to try lunch at Satuli in Pandora so off we went...

IMG_20180312_130258.jpg

I had the tofu meal (which I loved!) and R had the combo platter (which he didn't really like). We did mobile ordering here and it was crazy bc of the time we went. However, we loved not having to wait in the regular line. J and K got their meal way before us so they went ahead and found a table. I didn't get a picture of what they had. We all enjoyed the blueberry mousse for dessert.

After lunch we wandered around a little bit and got PhotoPass pictures until it was time for our FoP FP.

One thing I have neglected to mention so far is that this was the beginning of our first cold day. It was rainy in the morning but soon cleared up. I wore shorts because I hate to wear wet pants. As the day went on, it felt very nice in the sun but still chilly in the shade. So the jacket kept going on and off as we changed locations. I don't like being cold in Disney!!

We didn't get any pictures while we were in the FP line for Flights of Passage :( We had enough time as we still waited 45 minutes. R and I had taken Bonine to help with motion sickness so I had fingers crossed it would work. Unfortunately for me, the ride immediately started with a big drop that messed me up for the rest of the ride. I had to turn around and look at the ride mechanisms to ground myself so my vertigo wouldn't kick in too badly. When I felt the ride even out, I would turn around and watch the screen as we were soaring. What I was able to watch was amazing!!! After the ride ended, R said that I can cancel the FP for Thursday because it made him feel sick (even though he loved the ride) and it gave K a massive headache (he too thought it was amazing). I figured it would be a good idea to go back to the resort and everyone could rest and we would come back to the park for the nighttime hours because I wanted to see Rivers of Light and the Tree Awakening ceremony.

Did it happen like that? Nooooo! It was chilly and I felt like they were done with Animal Kingdom. I didn't cry too much over it because R and I still had our AK day on Thursday to get those things done. Instead, we went to Epcot for a couple of hours for dinner and to visit some of the food kiosks while crowds were low.

We got to Epcot and went to Sunshine Seasons for dinner. Frustrating story ahead - I had really been wanting to try their vegan curry dish but as soon as it was my turn to order, they removed the thing completely from the serving area. Okaay. I didn't want to wait any longer for them to make a new one so I just ordered the shrimp and fried rice along with the pretty peanut butter and jelly cupcake. R had the rotisserie chicken and a creme brulee. Yet again, no picture of K and J's meals.

IMG_20180312_190207.jpg
IMG_20180312_190212.jpg

I had wanted to ride Living with the Land (my favorite ride at Epcot) but they had closed it right at 7pm, when we got to the line. No problem, we had a FP for it the next morning. We decided to explore the food kiosks (even though we had just had a big dinner) and luckily all of the ones I wanted to do were in the front of World Showcase.

The first stop was The Honey Bee-stro. R and I ordered the roasted cauliflower and the honey mascarpone cheesecake and R ordered the honey wine (he makes his own mead and it's his thing). I think J ordered the exact same thing. Which was a good decision bc none of us wanted to share these dishes!!! The cauliflower was good but that cheesecake and ice cream was out of this world!

IMG_20180312_193938.jpg

We had the sugar cane shrimp skewer and this was also one of my favorites. I loved shrimp and this was fantastic! I had plans to get this again the next day.

IMG_20180312_195811.jpg

J and I decided to share the seared scallops from Northern Bloom. We are big fans of scallops and ate most of it before we remembered to take pictures. I think J got the griddled maple pound cake as well. We were all about that scallops dish though!

IMG_20180312_201120.jpg

We couldn't eat any more and it was almost time for Illuminations, which R and I have never seen. Our first plan was to watch the fireworks show and then stay after a little bit until the crowds left so we weren't part of that mob. We didn't get the best view because we were all types of late bc of the kiosks. We were at the upper viewing area in Canada.

IMG_20180312_210700.jpg

Then this man appeared and his head was in all of my remaining pictures...

IMG_20180312_210908.jpg

Everyone was exhausted (not sure why, we had only walked 12.01 miles this day LOL) so we decided to leave before the show was finished and rushed to the front of the park. Which wasn't the best decision because it aggravated my old ankle injury. I brought my ankle bandage wrap but I wasn't wearing it this night. I was expecting it to be slow evening not a sprint to the front of the park to catch a bus. I was in so much pain when we got the bus stop so I knew the next day wasn't going to be great. But I had the bandages and extra strength Tylenol. I was a little upset about not being in the park at night after closing but no worries, we would be in Epcot the next day and there were nighttime EMH from 9-11pm. Are you seeing the trend???

Up next - Tuesday, March 13th and Epcot day

Those waffles look DIVINE!!! Also good to see everything worked out with 'Ohana. We've had our fair share of nailbiters on travel days.

The waffles were really good! My only disappointment with 'Ohana is that the server never came back to get my drink order. I understand they were really busy but I really was hoping to get that bourbon drink to go with my meal. But 'Ohana has become our WDW tradition and is a must do. We were really upset we couldn't eat there in 2016 because of Hurricane Matthew. So this trip, I had two reservations. One on our first day and another later in trip in case of weather and travel delays. I was taking no chances with 'Ohana :cautious: It turned out to be everyone's favorite meal of the trip and K and J said they want to eat again at Ohana for their future trip with their kids and her dad. It's always stressful when planning dining for others so I was glad that our first meal of the trip was a smash hit!

Tuesday, March 13th

Epcot opened at 9am so there was no rush and we could all get a little bit extra sleep. We were at the bus stops at 8am and watched as an Epcot bus drove off without us on it. Short story about us and the Epcot bus. Every time we stayed at Riverside, and tried to take an early morning bus to Epcot, we had problems. The bus was always late! In 2016, in almost made us late to our 8am ADR in Akershus. I was hoping the morning Epcot bus at CSR would be better. But nope. Every other bus came 3 times and at 8:45 there was still no Epcot bus. Someone asked the driver of another bus, who said there was some type of problem and didn't know when the bus would be coming. So we discussed it and decided to take the next HS bus and just walk to Epcot. I told J and K that it took us about 15 minutes of walking to get there so they were on board. Unfortunately, everyone's feet were still tired from the previous day and there was a very cold wind. Not a very enjoyable walk this morning. Once we got to Epcot, we sped thru security at International Gateway and made our way to Sunshine Seasons for breakfast. I'm not much of a breakfast eater but the brothers, K and R, just HAD to have breakfast food every morning so I had to make sure to schedule that into our planning.

R had the French toast bread pudding meal, which he said was okay. I had the breakfast panini, which was tasty but very hard to eat. I ended up having to flip the sandwich over to eat it bc the bottom quickly got soggy. No pictures of what J and K ordered.

IMG_20180313_094204.jpg

After breakfast, we rode Living with the Land using our FP. I asked to sit in the front row with K and J and they honored request. I love the front row on this ride :) I didn't take any pictures of the ride this time but I liked how they added the information for the Flower and Garden Festival. No one wanted to wait in line for Soarin since we had a FP soon opening for Test Track which is R's favorite ride. I decided I wasn't going to ride bc I was still feeling icky from Flights of Passage yesterday. Actually, every night up to this point, I was having land sickness due to the plane ride. Every time I would lie down on the bed, it would feel like the bed was a rocking platform. So I knew this ride was out for me. On the way to TT, K decided he had to have another Starbucks. I told R that I didn't feel like waiting around again and was going to MouseGear to do some shopping for Festival merchandise while they waited. And I told R how to get to TT and when the FP window closed. I wasn't in the store for very long when R found me and told me that K had changed his mind about the coffee and that J was going to meet up with me bc said it was too cold for her to do the ride. Eventually, J and I met up while the boys rode TT. And yes, it was freezing on the ride and here is their pained faces to prove it LOL (they're the 2 in the back).

J and I both wanted to do Spike's Pollen Nation Exploration so we purchased the maps at Pin Central and started at one of the stores and headed towards Germany. We had fun searching each nation for Spike, and J had some kiosks snacks along the way while K wasn't there to make her share with him.

IMG_20180313_115207.jpg

We couldn't find Spike in the American Pavilion with the sunflowers - she found him later that evening but I never did :) We were walking by and saw Pluto and Mickey walking out from behind the gates. Once others saw them, they ran in front of us to get in line but we didn't have a long wait.

This Pluto kept hitting us in the head with his elbows. Ouch! And there's a Spike :)

IMG_20180313_122506.jpg

We finished the hunt in about an hour. If you don't want to see the answers, look away :)

IMG_20180313_122552.jpg

We had texted the guys to see where they were and they had just hunkered down in Germany after K had gotten his Starbucks. They didn't move all that far :) But it was good to see them share some brotherly time since they don't often get to see each other.

We had to leave Epcot and go to Beach Club for our lunch ADR at Beaches and Cream. It was one of my must dos this trip since I always had to cancel for some reasons during past trips. But first, I had to stop at the Cider House to get my lemon scone. They changed it from my 2014 trip but was still quite tasty. I also ordered the Blood Orange cider, which everyone tasted and loved. My heart broke when no one carded me for the alcoholic beverage.

IMG_20180313_130655.jpg

We were able to walk onto the Friendship boat for a quick ride to the Beach Club. We had difficulty finding the restaurant though since it was our first time visiting the resort. But we found it.

IMG_20180313_133507.jpg

Too bad, the CM's couldn't find our reservation in their system. They didn't believe that I actually had one for that date and time until I pulled it up on my phone to show them. We were quickly seated at one of the small center tables. Good thing we like each other :)

I didn't get a picture of what K and J ordered and I don't remember that now. R had the Patty Melt and I went with the vegan burger. Both were really tasty :) Those onion rings were delicious. K ordered a milkshake but sent it back because it was too milky. They remade it and it was met with his approval.

IMG_20180313_140045.jpg

After lunch, we made our way back to the dock for our return to Epcot. We decided to go back to the resort and rest. J wanted to do some laundry since Wednesday was their last day. While waiting for her laundry, we hung out by the hot tub (where else?!) and soaked our legs again. Afterwards, we went back to the room and took a nap.

We were supposed to meet at the bus stop at 5 or 6 but at this point I was feeling lightheaded and sick. R told them to continue without us and we would meet up with them at Epcot later. I think I was just really dehydrated and exhausted from lack of sleep up to this point. After a couple of hours, off we went to Epcot. I was getting really hangry at this point and I just wanted to stop and eat but R felt like we had to rush to meet up with K and J. However, he did stop to get himself a croissant donut. Finally, I made him stop at La Isla Fresca so I could get the sugar cane shrimp again. He had been curious about the Jamaican braised beef so I got that for him.

IMG_20180313_201456.jpg

He made a face after one bite bc the beef was too spicy. So the little punk took my shrimp and my hangry self was forced to eat the beef (which I don't even like eating beef that much but I didn't want to waste it). I thought the beef was way too salty. Not spicy at all, just salty.

J and K took this picture while they were waiting for us. You can see the arm of the man who didn't care that he was interrupting a shot at all and barely missed bumping into J. Some people are so rude!

I was still hungry but we forced our way thru the mess of people in Mexico to meet up with the others who were at the American Pavilion. By this time, I was super hangry, I felt weak, my ankle was killing me and I just wanted food. So K and J took their Smokehouse purchase with them to walk with us to Taste of Marrakesh. I told them that we could meet up later but they wanted to join us. I wanted the fried cauliflower but went with the Harissa Chicken because it was more substantial and had protein. I was too hungry to take any pictures. I really enjoyed the couscous, which had a good flavor. I was still hungry but the Hangry Me was much nicer. It was almost time for Illuminations, so I wanted to go to the bakery in France while the crowds were at the lake. Great decision. There was no one there and we had our choice of tables (for the first time in forever!).

J got some peanut butter dessert while I had the lobster bisque (super yummy!), a dark and white chocolate mousse, and I got R the chocolate beignet.

IMG_20180313_210829.jpg

After we finished, the park was officially closed and EMH were happening. I was excited to finally be in a park at night and was looking forward to riding Figment and Nemo with no wait and doing the ride in Mexico again since it had been a while. Unfortunately, the others were tired and I didn't want to push the issue. I didn't want to be there alone because that's just no fun for me. J and I had walked 12.89 miles this day, which shocked both of us because it didn't feel like it. However, my ankle was still in a lot of pain. Because we left soon after 9pm, there was a crowded bus. No one wanted to listen to me this trip when I said to wait a bit and let crowds go down. So I'm stuck standing on the bus while someone's folded walker kept slipping and banging into my hurt ankle, which made it so much worse. Then there was a girl sitting on her mother's lap that kept kicking me in the same leg. I almost fell a couple of times bc I couldn't put any weight on the ankle after the walker hit me one too many times. My husband wasn't standing next to me and was too focused on his brother to notice that I was having issues - skipping over the big argument this caused when we got back to the room :banghead:. When I got back to the hotel, my ankle was 3x the normal size. Luckily, Wednesday was going to be a late start and I had more time to rest it. R was giving me major attitude. This new development was answered the following day.

Up next - Wednesday, March 14 and K and J's last day and our last MK day

Loving your TR so far. Sorry about your sore leg/ankle. That stinks when your at Disney and all the required walking!

Luckily, I was able to control most of the pain with the bandages, lots of Tylenol, and the hot tub  There were times I had to remind everyone to slow down as I wasn't my usual speed walking self but I was very thankful that it wasn't more of a problem. It could've been a lot worse.

I loved the morning shots of Pandora they looked great!

It was a total drag to wake up at 5am in order to be at the bus stop at 6am but everyone stopped complaining when they got to Pandora with no crowds. I think it worked out great because even though we were all dragging being up that early, we were still "fresher" early in the morning instead of being there at night and tired. We all felt our increasing age this trip  R and I were shocked that we couldn't tour the parks the same way we did in 2014 when we were there from opening to close with no breaks LOL.

Everyone was looking forward to today because it was the day we could sleep in :) R's only request this trip was to go back to Kona Cafe so he could have the Tonga Toast again. I was all for it because that meant I could have the pineapple macadamia pancakes again :hungry: Our ADR was at 10:30am, so to be safe with our time, we agreed to be at the bus stop at 9am. That meant everyone had at least 8 hours sleep!! I think K was most appreciative of it. Unfortunately, this was the morning that R came down with either a head cold or flu. It was still too early to determine. He's horrible when he's sick, which explained the major attitude he was giving to me yesterday. I had my fingers crossed it didn't affect the rest of the trip because Thursday and Friday were the days I was most looking forward to when it would be just us.

But on the good side, we didn't have long to wait for a MK bus:confused:. Even though it was a chilly morning, we decided to take the boat to the Poly. I had to take another picture of R's dream resort...

Short story here. Apparently K didn't listen to his wife when she told him to pack a pair of pants and he was too stubborn to buy pants once there. Yes, he was cold most of the week because he only brought shorts

We checked in early at Kona Cafe and only waited about 10 minutes before they checked us in. I was surprised at how busy they were on a Wednesday! I've never seen them that busy at breakfast before. Yet again, I didn't get a picture of what K and J ordered but I know J ordered the caramel banana French toast item with a side of the grits. I know this because when they brought our meals out, J only had the plain French toast. None of the topping that made the meal sound so appealing. She asked the waitress who said they had run out already. I was annoyed by the whole thing and it wasn't even my meal. But she used the strawberry sauce R didn't use for his Tonga Toast. If that was all he wanted we could've gone to Captain Cooks!

J shared some of her grits with me since it was such a large serving. I was hoping they would cook the Spam the same way my Grandma did but no such luck. Oh well, I had those pancakes and this girl didn't need anything else!! I guess getting a full night's sleep agreed with K because he finished everyone else's plates and determined that my pancakes were the best out of what was ordered. Well I could've told you that LOL

R wasn't feeling well at all so we decided that instead of going to MK or Disney Springs, we would go back to the resort so he could take some meds and rest and we would just go to MK in the evening and stay at the park once it was dark. EMH were from 11pm-1am but with R sick I didn't see that happening. But I was at least hoping to make it to 11pm bc I love MK at night and this was our last MK day.

I love the Polynesian

We got back to the resort and I loaded R with a bunch of the medicines that I brought in case I got sick. I took his temperature and he had a fever of over 100. Well that wasn't good bc he never gets a fever. He was Mr. Grumpy Pants again and didn't want to listen to the TV on so he kicked me out of the room! I texted J and told her that I was going to hang out by the pool until it was time for dinner so she decided to join me. We got chairs at where else - the hot tub area - and got comfortable. It was just us girls napping and talking with the sounds of loud construction around us. Didn't affect our napping though :) After what turned out to be a few hours (?!), R decided to join us. He was feeling a little bit better and I was more sure it was just a bad head cold. J called K and told him to join us at the hot tub so we could go get dinner. This would be the first time we ate at the resort. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened to the pictures of our meal. I remember getting the chicken tortilla soup, I made R get the chicken noodle soup instead of the pizza he wanted and a side of breadsticks. No clue what J and K had. This was J and K's last day before leaving early the next morning so I had a lot of plans for this evening.

After eating, we went back to our rooms before meeting up at the bus stop. We got to MK right around the time of the flag ceremony, which is something I've always wanted to see and was special to J and K since he was military. I suggested we watch from the train station but J saw the middle stairs were blocked off and didn't want to follow me. Even though the side stairs were still completely open. R didn't believe me and didn't want to leave them so my annoyed self watched from the train station alone :) I had the best view out of all them.

Afterwards, we made our way down Main Street. There's the sun! Too bad it wasn't warm enough for shorts...

J needed the Mickey Pants Kitchen Sink so I showed her where that was (although she didn't believe me that it was located there until she got closer and saw it on the menu....). At this point, I needed a break from the larger group and wanted to go back to Under the Big Top to find a shirt I saw earlier in the week and decided that I needed in my life. We separated and made plans to meet up later. Off to the Big Top we went.
