Trip Report "Shake It Off" March 2018 WDW Trip Report

Hello everyone! We just got back from our trip on Saturday and already I'm experiencing Disney Withdrawals :( It always amazes me how quickly a Disney vacation goes by while days at home can drag LOL. I think I went into this trip with my hopes too high because my 2016 was so sad for me. A lot of negative things happened during this trip so I'm going to gloss over them - I don't want to read this trip report in the future and remember the bad. So I'm going to focus only on the positive things that happened. Which is where the trip report title comes from :) Every trip, there seems to be a song that we always hear and it becomes our theme song. Unfortunately, this year it was Taylor Swift's song "Shake It Off." Now, I'm not a Taylor Swift fan AT ALL so I'm somewhat upset at this being our theme song LOL. But it was literally everywhere this trip. Where did my magical Disney music go???? Even though I don't like the song, it was very fitting for the negatives and drama that occurred during the trip. I had a lot of things that I had to "shake off"....

Before I start this trip report, let me start by giving details for those that didn't read my pre trip report:

Who: Me, R (my husband), K (my brother in law), and J (K's wife)
When: March 10 - 17, 2018 (me and R), March 9 - 14, 2018 (K and J)
Discount: Disney Visa Room Discount
Where: Coronado Springs Resort
Why: (1) My redo 2016 trip (2) my 15th anniversary with R (3) R's bday th following week (4) K & J's 20th wedding anniversary (5) K's bday earlier in the month

Originally, we had all planned a cruise for September 2017 which got rescheduled to March 2018. R decided to cancel the cruise so the whole trip became a WDW trip. No complaining here :joyfull: When plans changed, I asked J if she would like to join us at WDW and we could celebrate our anniversaries together. They decided to join us, which worked perfectly since he just got ordered that they will be transferred from CA to Colombia in May. They came early and stayed at Saratoga Springs March 9th before transferred to CSR on the 10th, so they were already enjoying Disney fun, while I was at home doing last minute cleaning. No fair! The Friday before we left was so stressful and all I wanted was to already be at Disney.

Finally, Saturday arrives and we get to the airport only to find out our plane was delayed. This is where our plane was supposed to be...

IMG_20180310_100952.jpg

I started counting the minutes because we had an Ohana dinner reservation at 5pm so I knew it was going to cut it close. We get loaded onto the plane, start moving from the gate, only for the pilot to announce that a plane had broken down on the runway and it would be a little bit longer until we could leave. Nooooo!!!! We left half an hour late (not too bad) and landed on time at MCO. I had all of these plans to take pictures at MCO but I was running late and had no time for pictures. We get into the DME line and only had to wait 15 minutes for a bus. But we were the last stop - our bus went to AKL resorts first. J was there first and had let me know that I got a renovated room in Ranchos 7A but it wasn't ready yet. They had gotten an older room in Ranchos and were trying to switch to 7A as well. We got our room location right as we pulled away from AKL. Great timing! When we walked into CSR lobby, K and J were waiting for us. We had to go to the front desk because I had forgotten our pin number so that had to be reset. And we got a $60 gift card for opting out of housekeeping. Business done, no dawdling allowed, we had to get to our room, drop off our carry ons and change into warm weather clothes. Here are some pictures I took while walking to our room:

IMG_20180310_152246.jpg

K and J walking with us to our room. They had some things they needed to leave in our room since their room wasn't yet ready. Some stranger totally photo bombed us

We loved our room and location! I faxed in our request for a room in 7A and we got a corner room, in the back of the resort, near the bus stop. Score! And we got the construction pins (I'm a big pin collector) so this made me happy :)

IMG_20180310_152710.jpg

It was a short walk to the bus stop, which came in handy later in our trip. We had to catch the bus to MK and get on the monorail to the Polynesian. Luck was on our side and we didn't have a long wait for either the bus or monorail. While we were waiting, I played with my new phone. I dropped in a Stormtrooper lol. About a month before this trip, I had to get a new phone. My old Samsung's battery wouldn't last (conveniently after my contract had ended) and I was mad and bought a Google Pixel 2. I love the phone and camera but I was still learning it on this trip. Which affected my pictures later. My husband didn't want to help me take pictures using my point and shoot camera so most pictures were taken using my camera phone. I didn't get nearly as many great pictures as I was hoping. Not sure if the quality will be good enough to make photo album with Shutterfly yet.

We got to the Poly with half an hour until our reservation time. I was the only planner for this trip so I was worried about making good dining reservations, FP selections, etc to make everyone's trip enjoyable. I was worried that Ohana wouldn't be as good this trip but it turned out to be everyone's favorite meal. It was soooooo good. Even though the waiter never came back to get my drink order - guess I didn't need that whiskey drink after all :)

IMG_20180310_163137.jpg

We ate most of the salad before we remembered to take pictures. We just can't control ourselves when it comes to Ohana. I can't stress again how GOOD this was that day. Everything was on point! Just thinking of this meal makes me want to go back RIGHT NOW and make a total pig of myself....again!!!

received_10216125535791559.jpg

And the bread pudding...OMG it was better than I remembered. So good that K had to get his picture taken with it LOL. And for Ohana fans, I got some sad/shocking news for you. The table next to us didn't even touch their bread pudding before they left. Uneaten bread pudding yall:jawdrop: J wondered if it would've been tacky to take their portion since it was clearly not wanted.

UP NEXT: A walk to Grand Floridian and return to CSR

Everyone was looking forward to today because it was the day we could sleep in :) R's only request this trip was to go back to Kona Cafe so he could have the Tonga Toast again. I was all for it because that meant I could have the pineapple macadamia pancakes again :hungry: Our ADR was at 10:30am, so to be safe with our time, we agreed to be at the bus stop at 9am. That meant everyone had at least 8 hours sleep!! I think K was most appreciative of it. Unfortunately, this was the morning that R came down with either a head cold or flu. It was still too early to determine. He's horrible when he's sick, which explained the major attitude he was giving to me yesterday. I had my fingers crossed it didn't affect the rest of the trip because Thursday and Friday were the days I was most looking forward to when it would be just us.

But on the good side, we didn't have long to wait for a MK bus:confused:. Even though it was a chilly morning, we decided to take the boat to the Poly. I had to take another picture of R's dream resort...

View attachment 271983

Short story here. Apparently K didn't listen to his wife when she told him to pack a pair of pants and he was too stubborn to buy pants once there. Yes, he was cold most of the week because he only brought shorts

View attachment 271984

We checked in early at Kona Cafe and only waited about 10 minutes before they checked us in. I was surprised at how busy they were on a Wednesday! I've never seen them that busy at breakfast before. Yet again, I didn't get a picture of what K and J ordered but I know J ordered the caramel banana French toast item with a side of the grits. I know this because when they brought our meals out, J only had the plain French toast. None of the topping that made the meal sound so appealing. She asked the waitress who said they had run out already. I was annoyed by the whole thing and it wasn't even my meal. But she used the strawberry sauce R didn't use for his Tonga Toast. If that was all he wanted we could've gone to Captain Cooks!

View attachment 271985

J shared some of her grits with me since it was such a large serving. I was hoping they would cook the Spam the same way my Grandma did but no such luck. Oh well, I had those pancakes and this girl didn't need anything else!! I guess getting a full night's sleep agreed with K because he finished everyone else's plates and determined that my pancakes were the best out of what was ordered. Well I could've told you that LOL

R wasn't feeling well at all so we decided that instead of going to MK or Disney Springs, we would go back to the resort so he could take some meds and rest and we would just go to MK in the evening and stay at the park once it was dark. EMH were from 11pm-1am but with R sick I didn't see that happening. But I was at least hoping to make it to 11pm bc I love MK at night and this was our last MK day.

I love the Polynesian

View attachment 271987

We got back to the resort and I loaded R with a bunch of the medicines that I brought in case I got sick. I took his temperature and he had a fever of over 100. Well that wasn't good bc he never gets a fever. He was Mr. Grumpy Pants again and didn't want to listen to the TV on so he kicked me out of the room! I texted J and told her that I was going to hang out by the pool until it was time for dinner so she decided to join me. We got chairs at where else - the hot tub area - and got comfortable. It was just us girls napping and talking with the sounds of loud construction around us. Didn't affect our napping though :) After what turned out to be a few hours (?!), R decided to join us. He was feeling a little bit better and I was more sure it was just a bad head cold. J called K and told him to join us at the hot tub so we could go get dinner. This would be the first time we ate at the resort. Unfortunately, I don't know what happened to the pictures of our meal. I remember getting the chicken tortilla soup, I made R get the chicken noodle soup instead of the pizza he wanted and a side of breadsticks. No clue what J and K had. This was J and K's last day before leaving early the next morning so I had a lot of plans for this evening.

After eating, we went back to our rooms before meeting up at the bus stop. We got to MK right around the time of the flag ceremony, which is something I've always wanted to see and was special to J and K since he was military. I suggested we watch from the train station but J saw the middle stairs were blocked off and didn't want to follow me. Even though the side stairs were still completely open. R didn't believe me and didn't want to leave them so my annoyed self watched from the train station alone :) I had the best view out of all them.

View attachment 271989

Afterwards, we made our way down Main Street. There's the sun! Too bad it wasn't warm enough for shorts...

View attachment 271988

J needed the Mickey Pants Kitchen Sink so I showed her where that was (although she didn't believe me that it was located there until she got closer and saw it on the menu....). At this point, I needed a break from the larger group and wanted to go back to Under the Big Top to find a shirt I saw earlier in the week and decided that I needed in my life. We separated and made plans to meet up later. Off to the Big Top we went.

is the Mickey pants sink at the plaza?

We found the shirts but they didn't have my size :( Maybe they'll show up on the app or Disney Store one day and I can get one. My mission had failed but it was time to hunt down the PhotoPass photographers and their magic shots :) I was determined to get my money's worth and K and J seemed to be over having pictures taken.

Not my most flattering picture. Our photographer had just replaced the female I was hoping to take our picture but it wasn't meant to be. He was probably the worst one I've come across in all of our trips. He was just in a hurry and had no personality. You could tell he didn't want to be there.

I got distracted by a corn dog somewhere near Liberty Square (my theme park weakness!) and the lemonade slushy. No picture was taken of this as I was busy enjoying the corn dog. R started feeling a little worse so he took some more meds. These characters walked by as I was eating, and I made R rush to take some pictures for me. I wasn't putting down the corn dog for anything :)

We met back up with J and K. I was still hungry but no one else was. I wanted to eat n early dinner at Columbia Harbor House so we would have time to get good places at the train station for the fireworks show at 8:55 but no one listened. So we walked over to Buzz Lightyear to use our FP. After we got off the ride, it was close to 7pm and I insisted on having dinner. We used mobile ordering again and it took a while for K and J to order bc they have Sprint and they hardly got coverage anywhere on the resort. They ended up using R's phone. We walked over to the restaurant and waited forever because the CM's were a hot mess. I sent R upstairs to find a table since he wasn't feeling well and J told her husband to follow his brother lol. While waiting, a female came up to complain bc she ordered chicken noodle and they gave her clam chowder. They gave her the correct soup but wouldn't take the incorrect order back so she gave the soup to me.

IMG_20180314_192342.jpg

I was disappointed with the lobster roll. It had a really good flavor but the bread was too hard and cold for me. R wasn't feeling good so we agreed to go back to the room early. K and J wanted to go back so they could start packing as the Magical Express was picking them up at 6am. My heart literally broke in that moment. I told them that it made no sense to leave the park when we only had 15 minutes until the fireworks show and they agreed to stay for the show. We had to fight an insane crowd of people in front of the castle and Main Street. We got separated when we go to the castle hub but they knew to meet us at the train station. When we got to the front of the park, it was almost time for the fireworks. We didn't get the best view of the train station because obviously a lot of people were already there. I was like this is the reason I wanted an earlier dinner so we could get the front row view! But, nope, no one wants to listen to the person with the most WDW experience.

IMG_20180314_210133.jpg

Luckily, our view was still pretty good. The people in front of us kept moving though. I ended up switching places with R halfway thru the show so that he could see the castle projections. The woman in front of him had ants in her pants so he was missing most of it.

IMG_20180314_205837.jpg

We all loved the show! R thought the projections were better than the fireworks. And K thought the location to watch the fireworks was the best and he and J thought it was a great way for them to close out their trip. It was stressful for me but it ended up a success. K kept talking about how good the fireworks were once we got to the bus stop. We left right before it was finished so we could get to the bus stop ahead of the crowds. I was seriously crying inside at having to leave so early with so much left undone but I put on a happy face for the group. We got back to the resort and said our goodbyes to K and J. Once in our room, I loaded R up with more meds and had my fingers crossed for a better Thursday and Friday. Luckily, R's fever was gone so I was thinking positive although I knew we would have to go a lot slower than I was originally planning.

Up next - Thursday, March 15th and Animal Kingdom. Plus, a birthday surprise for R :)

Great report so far!! Such a shame that you couldn't enjoy FoP because of the motion, it really is a great ride... I can't really do star tours without feeling super sick so I know how that goes!

Getting a head cold or flu in Disney is the worst, I just had something going on when I went down last week. Luckily for me it cleared up but it did stink that first day!

Looking forward to more :)

Moving on to the rest of the park :)

We can't do many thrill rides because of motion sickness so we love this park for it's nature trails and focus on animals. We can always find plenty to do. Which may come back to kick us in the behinds later....

By this point, we were hungry so we made our way to breakfast. It wasn't quite 9 but quite a line had formed. I didn't get a picture of what K and J were eating bc K got the same thing I did and J got the kids french toast sticks. R got the bacon and egg sandwich and K and I had the breakfast burrito, which was sooooo good. We all had the hash brown bites. Seriously, 2 people could've shared that breakfast burrito. It was massive.

After eating it was time to move on to Africa trails to wait for our Safari FP window to open. We also did Rafiki's planet watch.
Where did you eat breakfast at AK? Sorry about your ankle. It sucks being at Disney and having walking issues, and it wouldn't be a normal Disney trip without a disagreement of sorts.

Breakfast in AK was at Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe. We tried to focus more on quick service locations this trip. I had forgotten that we also used mobile ordering at Harambe just for R's preferred drink, Bibo. That was a nightmare because a woman had ordered the wrong thing and didn't want to move to the side to discuss it.

My husband laughed at me for taking so many cold meds with us but I wasn't taking any chances - I thought I would be the one to get sick! And he ended up having to use them all. It taught him a lesson about always being prepared - and to never laugh at the wife :geek:

I probably would've enjoyed FoP so much more if it had started out as a gentle glide to allow me to get acclimated. The same thing happened to me at Busch Gardens Williamsburg when they had a 3D flying simulator ride with an instant drop. My reaction on that was worse though because I didn't know how to regain my equilibrium on that one. FoP is pretty easy if you just turn your head and look at the exit door and the floor every so often.

Thursday, March 15th and the Birthday Surprise at AK

After we cancelled our FastPass for Flights of Passage earlier in the week, I was able to score an early morning on for Navi River Journey when the park opened at 8am. But R still wasn't feeling that well :( So we got a slower start to our morning because I wanted him to feel well enough for his surprise. And we had to be there at 9:15am so we didn't have much time in the morning. I loaded up my pockets this morning so I wouldn't have to go through bag check again. We got through quickly and leisurely made our way back to Africa. And soon we were checking in here for the Caring for Giants tour.

IMG_20180315_085216.jpg

They were in the process of opening for the day. They called us over to check in and I noticed that they spelled my name completely wrong. I've been called a lot of things with Leigh (Leg, Liege, Lee-gah, and leaf) but this was the first time I had seen the spelling completely butchered. I said something and they wrote me a new one. I should've taken a picture but I didn't even think about it - and now they're packed up with the vacation momentos. The name badges were made with recycled elephant poop and the process of how it was made was explained on the bus during the backstage portion. It was really neat! It gives locals a job of collecting up after the elephants and also gives them a reason to help save the animals bc their livelihood now depends on them. It was very fascinating process!

Here are some pictures of the area once we got to the overlook area and were allowed to take pictures:

IMG_20180315_095137.jpg

This young elephant isn't Stella but her brother I think. He's a total mama's boy and would follow her everywhere she went. The mama elephant couldn't get a moment of privacy LOL.

IMG_20180315_095637.jpg

R talking to the African representative with was along on the tour. I have no idea what they were discussing but it did help to extend our tour since the other guide was waiting for them to finish LOL.

IMG_20180315_100041.jpg

IMG_20180315_100309.jpg

The sick birthday boy enjoyed the tour. Success! Maybe next time, I'll be able to surprise him with Wild Africa Trek :)

We were getting hungry so we went to Harambe Market since they were close to opening. He could get another Bibo and I could get the corn dog meal. R went to order for us while I rested my ankle and I'm blaming him getting me a child's corn dog on his head cold and medication. So I had a snack and would need to eat again soon LOL.

IMG_20180315_110739.jpg

After eating we visited the new are of the park around the Festival of the Lion King and found this pretty picture spot.

IMG_20180315_113419.jpg

Why did we not come here on Monday? There were tons of places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere on the path from Africa to Pandora!! We needed to go back to Pandora bc the magic shot we got on Monday wasn't showing up in our account and it was one I wanted. I figured better safe than sorry in case PhotoPass at Disney Springs wasn't able to find it. So off to take pictures we went.

Soon we were arriving to Pandora. Let me just say that I love the change of music and atmosphere on this path. I could sit there most of the day more than likely. It wasn't crowded at all.

IMG_20180315_113749.jpg

We found the photographer with the magic shot and the line was kinda long but moved quickly. There was a large group in front of me that had to have every combination of people possible :banghead: Glad PhotoPass customer service was able to find the other day's picture because it was a lot better. I like this one better than the one with magic shot. That one will not see the light of day LOL.

We walked through the Discovery Island Trails on our way out of the park. The plans were to come back in the evening so I could see the nighttime entertainment. Would tonight be the night I would get to see Rivers of Light and get the other Pandora magic shot? We shall see!

A very pretty black swan. I love Animal Kingdom park so much! It really is tied for my #1 favorite park.

IMG_20180315_122410.jpg

The plans were to go to Disney Springs since we haven't been yet this trip and just go slowly so R wouldn't get over tired. We took a bus to Saratoga Springs so we could walk over to Marketplace, which used to be my favorite section. With the work being done on World of Disney store, it no longer is. I liked the old, obviously Disney section - not the more modern theme they seem to be going with. Anyways. It took forever for a bus to come to take us to Saratoga Springs. Finally it came and the bus was totally packed. On the way, R told me that he didn't think he would be hungry enough to get our money's worth at Boma dinner, which I had planned this evening and had been looking forward to all week. So with a sad heart, I cancelled the reservation. It's just not meant to be for me to eat dinner here for some reason :bawling: When we got to the resort, one young couple kept getting off at every stop and would have to get back on bc they thought it was the Congress Park section. When it was finally the Congress Park section, most of the bus got off and made the leisurely walk along the river.

IMG_20180315_132345.jpg

We tried World of Disney but crowds were insane so I walked out as quickly as I walked in! We looked at Pin Central but R wasn't really feeling it this trip and I had already bought too many to commemorate this trip. I was tempted by a couple of Disney Dooneys but I controlled myself. We stopped by PhotoPass desk to find the missing pictures of TT and Pandora. They were able to find and connect them for us. I went into this trip wanting to have our picture taken at the photo studio there with a Disney backdrop but I had a horrible case of hat head and no brush. Something else to do next trip.

By this time, I'm starving so we made our way to Polite Pig because I really wanted to try their orange blossom honey cake (or something with a similar name). We were able to find a table outside in the sun (finally a little bit of the heat I was craving!!). R couldn't eat the BBQ bc it was made with a vinegar base so he got the chicken while I got the vegetable plate. OMG these are some huge servings!! I was not expecting that.

The sweet potato tots were soooo good. I did not like the cole slaw that came with his meal. I'm a southern girl and prefer southern style cole slaw. Only way for me :) My sides were the cauliflower (fantastic), mac and cheese (yummy), and brussel sprouts (delicious).

IMG_20180315_142729.jpg

There was no way I could eat them all by myself but I gave it a valiant effort and put a huge dent into most of it :) I was saving room for that cake.

IMG_20180315_143401.jpg

This was incredibly sweet. Very tasty but too sweet for me. I didn't want it to go to waste so I ate most of it, while avoiding the icing. Still ended up with sugar rush high.

We went to Savannah Bee Company so R could try their meads. He is big fan of meads and makes his own when I let him. He still has a lot to give away that's taking up space in a closet so his mead making is put on pause. He doesn't really drink much of what he makes which is why we have so many bottles. There was one in particular, a sweet mead, that he enjoyed but I didn't get the name. We went to the Coca Cola store so he could have more Bibo but he wasn't feeling it. We did get a picture taken with the polar bear. He decided we had to come back the next day and do it again with us wearing our Coke shirts.

We just missed a bus to CSR but we enjoyed talking to the bus driver waiting for his shift to start. When it came, we saw we had a cool bus.

IMG_20180315_173157.jpg

We hadn't seen Black Panther yet but kept hearing great reviews. We saw it the Sunday we got back home and I have to say I was disappointed with the movie. I thought the Black Panther was more of a kick character in Captain America Civil War. He was more of a dud to me in this movie and I thought the women in this movie totally stole the show. I know my thoughts of the movie are definitely in the minority but I thought this movie was as bad as Iron Man 2 and Thor 2. I say that because I didn't like Don Cheadle taking over as Rhodey. And, while Thor (and Captain America) are my favorite characters in the MCU, I really did hate Thor 2 . Movie commentary over.

We got back to the resort and took a nap. When it was time to go back to AK so that I could FINALLY see Rivers of Light and the Tree Awakening, we decided to just stay at the resort. R wasn't feeling the best from all of the walking this day and my ankle was really swollen. We still had one more park day and I didn't want to hurt my ankle further. If today was our last day, I totally would've gone back. But we had Epcot on Friday and more Flower and Garden kiosks - plus the Easter egg hunt. We had dinner at the resort. I think R had a pizza and I had pasta. The worker didn't drain the pasta before putting on the sauce so it was very watery. But neither of us felt well enough to go back and replace it. We didn't even get a picture of this meal. I was beginning to feel like I was getting a cold as well so I made sure to take more Vitamin C and Zinc. I didn't know if it would help but it certainly wasn't going to hurt :) I was hoping to meet up with @Longers and @ajrwdwgirl this day but I had sent them a message saying it didn't look likely because of plan changes - and I didn't want to pass on possible germs. So close, yet so far way. Hopefully next time! We had an early night and were getting sad at the idea of the next day being our last full day

Up next - Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs

I'm sorry we couldn't meet up and so sorry you had some health problems on your trip. It's no fun to be sick, let alone sick on vacation.
By the way, I love R's Ducktales shirt!

I would love to do the caring for giants tour I think I need to schedule it in for our next trip. Sorry you guys ended up not feeling great.

I would definitely recommend the tour to others. Caring for Giants didn't cost all that much and most of it is considered a donation to the animals. I think the whole tour lasted about 45 minutes. Maybe an hour. It seemed that time really flew by while we were on the tour. I went for the 9:30am tour (which I think was their earliest since they had just opened up the check in kiosk) and it was a small group. I liked Behind the Seeds at Epcot a little bit more but mainly because we were the only 2 people that had signed up so we felt like total VIPs :joyfull:

Ugh! Being sick on vacation sucks! It's one of my worst fears!!

Mine too which is why I packed a mini pharmacy for the trip ;) While I was no longer contagious and hadn't been for weeks, I was still recovering from a terrible upper respiratory infection that aggravated my asthma so our 2016 trip was difficult. I ran out of cough medicine half way through the trip and had to pay Disney's outrageous pricing. So this time I took everything - sinus pills, allergy pills, elderberry supplement, vitamin C and zinc, and liquid nighttime cold and flu medicine LOL. My husband totally laughed at me and said it wasn't necessary - until he was the one who needed it:joyfull: I'm not going to let him forget that either....

Mine too which is why I packed a mini pharmacy for the trip ;) While I was no longer contagious and hadn't been for weeks, I was still recovering from a terrible upper respiratory infection that aggravated my asthma so our 2016 trip was difficult. Friday, March 16th and Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Disney Springs

We had a planned a slow start on Friday because we had a lot planned and the more rest R got, the happier I would be later in the day :) Unfortunately, we were woken up early thanks to a drama filled text message, which I have yet to completely shake off, now that I'm back home. However, going back to the trip report - My main goal at Epcot was to do the Easter egg hunt, a couple more must do food kiosks, and some Magic Shots.

We stopped by pin central to buy the map and headed towards Mexico. It wasn't 11am yet and Mexico pavilion wasn't yet open so on to Norway we went to look for their egg. And to try out the just opened bakery kiosk. I was sad to see that my favorite - troll horn - wasn't on their menu but it gave us a chance to try the famous school bread.

R absolutely hated the school bread so I would have to eat that while he ate (what I think) is the lefse. While waiting, we took an imagine of the Anna and Elsa topiaries. And watched as most of the Mom's made their girls replicate the pose for their pictures LOL.

We backtracked to Mexico and found their egg. So back through Norway we went to continue our egg hunt. Some of these were hidden well! I had to take a picture of this truck with my Coke shirt :)

Eventually we got to the Smokehouse and R had the beef brisket. And talked to K about the drama that was created over our trip as K was woken up early as well by a nastier text. By the time I came out of my mental happy place, this was all that was left.

I'm assuming he liked it! Then it was time for Florida Fresh for their blackened shrimp and key lime tart.

This was fantastic too! And it finished up every of my "must dos" in World Showcase. I only had to hunt down the violet lemonade and my quest would be complete. We found the rest of the eggs and turned in our map for our prize - no picture but we got the Mike egg.

I really enjoyed both of the scavenger hunts this trip. I wish it was something they did year-round with different themes - maybe extend to different parks as well.

Stopped here to take a picture and hoped to get a monorail in the shot as I was enjoying my drink. Got tired of waiting for a monorail that never came - only for it to come after I put away my camera

Soon it was time for us to leave Epcot for a bus ride to Hollywood Studios for a quick trip. We had a FP for Toy Story and wanted to meet a few of the characters. I had my fingers crossed that I would see Sorcerer Mickey in his newer location.

Not sure if I mentioned but Friday was HOT! Finally!!! I was so glad I got to experience the heat before coming back to cold Virginia. Although I did get the world's weirdest farmer's tan from being out all day LOL.

We got to HS just in time for the stormtrooper march and show.

R, being a Star Wars fan, enjoyed it. For me, it was something to do until the FP window opened for Toy Story. By the time we got there, there was about a 10 minute way. I lost - again! The wait for Buzz and Woody was 45 minutes and I didn't want to wait that long. Sorcerer Mickey had a 55 minute wait and that was also out. So time to go to meet Kylo Ren, who we missed last time, BB-8, and Star Lord and Groot.

And my favorite picture - and one of the funniest we've ever taken - Star Lord and baby Groot!! Who ever was Star Lord that day was a little on the friendly side and my poor husband totally looks like the forgotten third wheel. In this picture, he realized his wife wasn't by his side so he started to reach for me LOL :joyfull:

After this, our day at HS was done. We had to catch a bus back to CSR so I could pick up my Coca Cola bag to exchange a shirt for the larger size. Originally, we had dinner plans at Raglan Road for their St. Paddy's day celebration but the crowds in the parks today caused us to change our minds. I had cancelled dinner there the day prior bc I suspected it would happen. When we got to Coca Cola store, we had to get another picture with the polar bear and his R's last Bibo of the trip.

R wanted a light dinner at Bongo's quick service so off we went. I got distracted by the corn dog at the food truck so we stopped there. Listened to a man singing Shake It Off by Taylor Swift. That's when it was confirmed that the horrible song, was indeed, our theme song of the trip :devilish:

We did have a picture of what R ordered from Bongo's cafe but it went missing. I remember him thinking one thing he ordered was really good and the rest was just okay. We finished eating and it was getting late. We still had to go by the lobby to pick up my earlier purchases and apply the gift card to our room balance. So sad the day before leaving :( Not ready to leave yet!!!! We had to pack up our bags as we got notice DME was picking us up at 11:45am.

Up next, Saturday March 10th and the day we had to leave the bubble
