I should love to see it compared with the MKs Thunder, Splash, or Space and the entire Tomorrowland expansion (an actual expansion!). Or even Mickey's Birthdayland - but that one is a bit less complex.

All on stage, in the very same theme park for ready comparison. Got any dates within easy reach?
Dates for the above mentioned?

Exact at hand for Splash: September 1990-July 1992

I can dig for the others mountains if needed.

It would be nice if they could do something about that. On some days I'd rather be driving in Chicago's rush hour traffic than dealing with the inconsiderate fools who bring double wide strollers and push them around with one hand because there kids want to be held instead. I'd say ban non park provided strollers all together but I realize that's not going to happen.

Requiring all guests to use park provided strollers would however allow for stroller drop off and pickup stations which would make navigating the park so much easier and allow parents to go without the stroller for a time if they wished. Hell they could even use FP+ RFid readers for it. scan, push the stroller in and when you want one again scan and it spits one back.

The problem with continueouly getting a new stroller is you would have to take all that stuff with you on an attraction or into a restaurant. My kids were 5 years apart, I did the stroller thing for 10 freak'n years. I needed diapers, wipes, clothing changes, formula, insulted bag, baby food, bib, there is lots of stuff baby needs. My DS first trip was 14 months and my DD first trip was 2 months. I left the stuff in the stroller, I didn't drag all this stuff into restaurants or attractions.

Now my oldest is 26 and I've seen what has changed that has made the stroller nightmare worse. First Disney went to these huge double wide plastic strollers, Disney started it. When mine were small Disney only had the TANK metal strollers, one kid. Yep they hurt if you hit someone however they were narrow and not long. Stroller corals were not designed for the Disney Double Wide plastic strollers. Then Disney decided to go beyond reason in price hikes. I paid $5 day + $1 deposit. Anything in the $30 a day range and guests chose to bring their own or rent from an Orlando based company. Now you have guests that would rent a stroller for a nominal fee refusing to pay $30+ a day and dragging these huge strollers on buses and trams along with boats and monorails. Disney pushed the guests into this.

When I am the empress of the stroller world I will replaced the Disney owned strollers. They will be compact once again. They will not be rented for more than $10 a day, (the strollers will still pay for themselves in a week or two.)
Guests will be allowed to bring in their own strollers only if they fit the maximum size range. Strollers brought onto transportation would only be allowed onboard if they fold to a maximum size range. The one and only year I had two strollers was when my DD was a newborn. I rented one of Disney's 'ole TANKs and we put the infant in an umbrella stroller. These two strollers combined didn't come close to the size of Disney Double Plastic strollers.

Yes, guests will whine a bit at first but they will learn to bring smaller strollers, just like a maximum sized suitcase and maximum weight on an airplane. And the fools that are in charge of stroller purchasing at Disney Parks will learn quickly to buy strollers that fit in their freak'n corrals. It isn't that difficult to solve Disney!

This is true. The mine train site was piles of materials for TLM and BaTB, parked trucks, and equipment for the longest of time. Had they staged elsewhere, they might have been able to start meaningful work on it sooner.

Not sure what they would have done staging wise if they kept the original plan and built the chateau, unless the plan all along was to open it more than a year later as well.
"the chateau" what was that?
Not to be "that guy" but just saw some diagon alley updated construction pics... I feel like Disney needs to renegotiate/change their construction strategy.
it does seem like disneys contruction is way slow compared to universal.. maybe not the construction time.. but the time between announcing something and actually starting to build it.
This is so true, and I was thinking the same thing. Of course, Disney has no plans for opening anything in 2014 or 2015 (and possibly even 2016) beyond the mine train.... so probably not even worth them looking into how they can be more efficient with construction - or even restructuring Imagineering. They wouldn't have to stretch out these little projects over so many years if they weren't paying double for them.
unfortunately like others have said i think slow construction has alot to do with balance sheets vs what is actually physically possible.
Operational realities and a different head of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts killed the meet and greets, not any outrage.
killed the meet and greets?? they were planning to have more than princess hall?? though it sounds like princess hall is mega crowded and mega busy non stop

interesting idea of returning and regetting them, but that would require a total change in packing strategy and would require people to return to the same station they returned there stroler too as they'd have to have a locker to put all the stroller stuff into.
Are you still saying that the Fantasyland Expansion is NOT an expansion?

its in expansion, but alot of it was restaurants and things, not main E ticket attractions.

The original plans for Fantasyland Expansion didn't include the mine train but a meet and greet for Cinderella and Aurora.

thanks, in small print it says cinderella attraction and aurora attraction (not sure if this means simple meet and greet or some thing more, i personally dont consider meet and greets to be attractions.

if they did this would Snow White's Scary Adventures have been left as is? i dont remember that attraction so can't say if it was good or bad.

as much as i like the look of the rendering, having more houses/castle like buildings does seem like overkill and a waste of space.. the mine coaster also adds some excitement/action to the area similar to what splash mountain does in fronteirland.

It's hard to read on the unloaded version, but it also says "BELLE ATTRACTION" in the building that now houses the Belle Meet & Greet.

So, the Cindy attraction and the Aurora attraction would have likely been similar types of venues... a M&G with a few special effects thrown in.

Yup just a meet and greet with a lil pixie dust... Pixie hollow was also just a meet and greet. I believe it was the right move to replace them with the mine train. As far as SWSA goes, it would have been left alone. In a way I was sad to see the ride go, it was the first ride at Disney I ever went on, but it was the worst dark ride in FL. Just my opinion though....

It was the worst dark ride in FL after they closed Mr Toad. At least SWSA had three dimensional figures as opposed to Mr Toad's plywood cutouts.

They were more elaborate meet and greets. A few details and art were released during the first D23 Expo.
