It depends. They tend to start with AP holders and or DVC members and then open it to everyone. On other occasions they just open it up to everyone from the start.

AP previews of a new attraction are typically announced with a little lead time so we should not pretty soon if that will happen.

I think typically it starts with random soft openings that are for everyone, then AP/DVC previews, but those are announced ahead of time, followed by more soft, then media preview, then public.

I hope by the end of March it is open. My travel agent friend told me to keep checking the Disney Experience ap. She said that the word is, the start of the soft opening will be leaked out by people who all of the sudden can get a fast pass for it on which ever day the opening will be.

Not a chance. I highly, highly doubt FP will be active until full public openings. Soft openings are open one minute, but can be closed the next. That is why they are soft openings -- no guarantees it will be open that day, or even later that day if open earlier.

When there are soft openings, you will hear it here first.
